Basically there is SO MUCH LEGISLATION that its cheaper to wait for a building to structurally collapse then to try to legally repair it

no bc it was when the landlord got too old and is now having a company handle his real estate. and they came over and were like huh. yeah this breaks so many safety codes
and then they did nothing for like. a year
and then uh. that thing happened where everything doubled in price for funnies and then they replaced it
