Like if that law didnt exist, and the cops didnt do everything possible, including sacrificing themselves, to save others, they can be sued

If they had to help people first, then they cant enforce the law
this seems like a really easy problem to fix
(least in regards to the courts)
I mean like the cops shouldnt have to legally risk their own lives for people, especially when it wont help

There are laws in place so cops are less worried about breaking the law, so they have more flexibility to enforce the law

They wont be charged for murder if they dont stop it
They cant ignore it without losing their job
