Reading about Inanna/Ishtar was genuinely one of the most insane things from a comparative mythology perspective. She was so popular that she has syncretic analogues or symbolism in nearly every major religion in the world. The story of Lucifer and his war against God? Almost certainly based on Inanna stealing mes (hard to describe, they’re like… civilization in a weird way but it’s also divine power) from Enki, the like father deity, and takes them Uruk. However instead of losing, Enki let’s her keep them because she rules, and Uruk becomes the location of the most sacred temple. Inanna is the Morning Star (Venus), and Lucifer is literally “Morning Star”. Speaking of Venus, Inanna is Aphrodite and consequently Venus. She’s also Cybele. She literally has 2 deities in the Roman pantheon that pull so much from her. Jesus is also associated with Venus btw. Ishtar is believed to be explicitly the whore of Babylon as well. Actually just everywhere you look. Old Germanic folk tale Sleeping Beauty? Turns out it bears a lot of similarities to Inanna’s descent into the underworld. She also has two lions which is unrelated, but rules.
