Canonically yes, they all died to Asgore and the Ruins are guarded on the Ruins side.
You could argue the patience items being found in the Ruins as contrary evidence, though.

It’s unstated in canon. There’s an associated order to the souls, but it just correlates to the order their items are found in. They could’ve died in any order for all we know.

I think it’s just a harmless blotchy spot, possibly brought on by the weather or a nature patch. It should pass in a few days, although if it starts to grow or something, feel free to get it checked.
