Library of Ruina spoilers Amalgamations of people is a disproportionately common horror theme for some reason. I don’t know why. Like I don’t actively dislike the trope but it’s never been Especially Horrifying to me. I’m curious why it’s so common

I feel like personal circumstances might play into why it feels mundane to me usually. Many such cases. But also I’ve seen it used as the Singular Especially Horrifying Thing in games sufficiently that it’s also somewhat dulled as a punchline?
