Yeah but the difference in, like, reaction speed here is substantial, for many people “change your sense of humour/values” is prohibitively slow and will only occur with, like, huge amounts of exposure over huge amounts of time, family or long-term romantic partners, while some people pick up even non-superficial traits extremely quick like memory foam. “Everybody does this” is true but not everybody does it at the same speed

A normal mattress can be said to be “like memory foam” because it will also get dented over time but that doesn’t make it a meaningful selling point
