essentially, Aleph means that “he’d” is not Moby Dick and is in fact Ahab who tries to kill Moby Dick the whale and fails and I think this was a sentence interpretation thing

Ok, I am apparently wrong; In the Heart of the Sea is actually not based off the book but instead off another book about the historical event that inspired Moby Dick.

I havent read moby dick (and dont plan to) so i like forgot that part, but i was joking when i was saying “but its a book?” Bc ishmael said it was a whale (referring to Moby Dick)
