Like, what? What do you mean. If you’re doing brain imaging and genomic sequencing With The Goal of legitimising stereotypes then you’re doing bad science on account of the woulfy agenda. If you’re testing these stereotypes to see if they are true then sure that’s in theory valuable work. But also this is in the studies-that-often-don’t-replicate zone so like I don’t think many of the studies end up being… like… in practice scientifically justified, because they often end up being on shaky actual grounds, but but but

if you do that kind of thing nine times out of ten you are a eugenicist and you are going to present the data (no matter what it actually says!) as if it supports your desired conclusion (eugenics)

What no that’s also not true. Using brain imaging and genomic sequencing to study whether sex/race differences exist isn’t exclusively the domain of eugenics. Even stupid hypothetical differences. It’s just as valuable to disprove a correlation as it is to prove one
