That said, you can definitely feel that they’re still figuring themselves out during the first three episodes; I’m on episode 4, and the storyboarding and animation have taken a massive leap up compared to Act I.
This might be an Everything Everywhere All At Once situation where each rewatch makes me go, “Ok, why did I adore this so much?” before the second half kicks in and reminds me of why.
