i think its that daeron had… special knowledge on how to illegally gain things

about not pirating frostpunk 2: it could’ve just not had a crack and Daeron mightve wanted to play it right away/support the devs?

if he didnt wanna splurge the money for the rimworld dlc why not just pirate it? try it out, if he likes it maybe he can buy it. if not he didnt waste money

if you want an answer specific to rimworld: its because steam workshop support is simply far too convenient to pass up
we legally obtained:tm: stellaris for months before I eventually caved and just spent hundreds on getting it with all the DLC on steam
it was a piss take downloading all the mods and shit
