for instance when i discuss timezones in mafia games with my wonderful american friends i always make sure to explicitly tell them EST times. everybody else is used to converting from EST to GMT or their timezone but not the other way around. i remember a mafia game in which the host posted an australian timezone and there were riots and complaints

do you know what’s the worst food to make? crackers. you know why? because they take so long to make for fuck all. I could spend at least 5 minutes buttering crackers for hardly any sustenance.
get a plate.
get the crackers.
put the crackers on the plate.
get the butter.
put the butter on the crackers
get the hair dryer
hair dry the butter so it melts into the crackers and becomes spreadable
spread the butter evenly
get the cheese
cut the cheese perfectly so it fits on the crackers
put everyhing away
all for hardly anything to eat??

my favorite thing is when i ask people to coordinate something and they just tell me “okay, lets do it tomorrow at 4 pm”. like … they dont tell me a timezone, they just tell me “tomorrow at 4” and they expect me to go “oh okay sure”. leafia did it to me once and magnus did it to me once, from last i r ecall

so sometimes when im craving crackers I instead just cut cheese from a block and eat it on its own. its so much more efficient.
