Was it worth for plenty of mafia deaths? We could have died

Two combat encounters out of three (bandits avoided) could have easily leveled up by now

I got a small change of plans.

Would you be fine meeting and advancing the story around 2 hours before SoD? (not after)

Sure! I might be asleep then though

ill probably be waking up at that time so maybe

This means you will be able to unlock next reward sooner, yes.

What other time would be fitting for you?

:hmmyes:

Considering the connection between story times and FAM3 times, and the next step in the narrative being the harvest festival, a daytime event, to smoothly transition into it and establish the necessary background, we must continue the session before D3 start in FAM3.

I can promise there will be no more fighting tonight. However there will be opportunity to gain information, so I would prefer if at least 1 person was able to be there. And the more the better, obviously.

Oh right. I was meant to give you that, since items you get are roughly related to enemies you fight and theirs abilities.
(as was in case of pack tactics ring)

And I am going to stress it again.

I will need your full atention for around 2 hours during this night. At least one person, but the more the better.
If just before SoD doesn’t work for you, please agree on other time.

Or you know what, let me write introduction now, you will see what I mean and agree on a time.

During your journey, you gradually discover additional information about your eight travel companions. They are a troupe of performers, led by the man who slaied a Dire Wolf - Larry the Halfmandini. While their skills may be questionable, they have gained a reputation as exceptional entertainers for children’s parties. After all, children can fetch a considerable ransom in gold.

During their recent travels, your companions have stumbled upon information about a secretive cult that claims to possess the ability to perceive alternate timelines and the vast treasures within them. They propose a plan: while they perform nearby, capturing the attention of most cultists, you can take advantage of the distraction and infiltrate their lair to steal their valuable artifacts.

As you draw near to the outskirts of the derided town known as Frontier, with its dilapidated thatched roofs and equally disheveled inhabitants, Larry and his troupe of circus performers seem visibly concerned. His initially cheerful disposition transforms, and a sense of seriousness overtakes him as he firmly grips the hilt of the shortsword at his side. Fortunately, the guards stationed at the gate fail to recognize your companions and allow all of you to pass through without encountering any difficulties.

Larry remarks, “We still have ample time before the performance, and we must make sure our equipment is well-prepared. The show will commence in two hours from now. Let’s not squander this opportunity. Here’s a map indicating the location of the cult for your reference.”

(You will get map at the begining of the challange)

Larry and his troupe bid you farewell, making their way towards the square where they will commence their performance. As they disappear from sight, you find yourself standing near a gate, contemplating how to occupy yourself in the meantime.

You observe four individuals walking from the main gates, in your direction. They are armed and armored, but that’s likely just coincidental. As you approach, a snobbish-looking aristocrat steps forward from the group of pretentious knights. “Should I kill you now?” he calls. “Or wait for the trial and kill you after?”

So not so coincidental after all.

A rush of memories floods your mind. The man standing before you bears the same noble crest as of the ring you had acquired. To be more precise, it was the ring you had discreetly stolen from him during a heated drinking argument that fateful night. The crest of the royal family—a fact you now realize. Stealing a symbol of royalty was not the wisest decision, it seems.

“Close the gates! Summon all the guards and knights! I want their heads!” he shouts triumphantly. It is clear that they have now trapped you and your companions.

=====

You will have 2 hours to navigate through city. Avoiding knights and guards via any means - stealth, athletics, deception, persuasion. Anything which might work.

2 hours which will decide if you manage to reach and steal the treasure from cult of alternating timelines. Or if you get caught and potentially executed by guards.

Map of city will be provided at the start of the event.

If the event is not completed before SoD, we will assume that guards have found you.
