IVE NEVER had sleep paralysis but ive had the most weirdly scary intense waking up experiences

ive dreamt of waking up and being in the exact spot as i slept actually in irl and i remember waking up to my sister talking and it was so mundane but then i noticed that there was two of the same cat (kenma) and then all of a sudden one of them jumped at me and i woke up for real that time

lolololol its so goofy

the shit i remember from my dreams is insane and funny when i think back at them

when i get sleep paralysis its usually my mom trying to murder me

Iā€™ve had this thing appear my dreams a few times now. its a statue. it moves, kind of. sometimes multiple in a room. they like to circle round when no ones there. do not make eye contact under any circumstances and observe from a distance. too close and theyll get aggressive. dont turn around or you might get their interest. if you get their attention now you TURN AROUND AND STAY RELAXED. they move fast, really fast so you dont have much time to react. it may lose interest then, but at this point youre pretty fucked. you will feel it pushing up behind you and if youre lucky youll wake up. CONTINUE TO STAY RELAXED. it is still there. almost holding you in bed. go back to sleep immediately. do not move. itll lose interest then. fail to follow any of these steps and face a horrific end.

i dont remember the exact instructions but i was told most of this in the dream. i encountered it twice total. i remember feeling it against my back its terrifying

Very usually, yes.

Usually more the present, the more memorable ones are in the present.

My dreams manage to flow from plot point to plot point without finishing the previous one, so they can be very inconsistent.

never noticed one.

Often times just what I see in my day to day life, although some things may be all over the place, often times Iā€™d find places relating to my home in places like my work.

my most memorable dream was one from when I was around 4 years of age and I still remember it now.

I was in a run down cabin, my brother locked me in it and a horrifying looking version of that looney toons yellow bird ran at me

and that was it, that was all I remembered from it but itā€™s still so vivid lol

Happy birthday!

In my dream today, a Wave Breaker from Splatoon was used to attempt to kill some wasps which were on the table. They, being familiar with how it works, just flew off and came back after a bit. Many orher things happened also.

I get sleep paralysis quite a lot, maybe not so much lately but Iā€™ve had my fair share of fucked up sleep paralysis demons

Sometimes yes, sometimes no, but usually thereā€™s at least an element of reality, like someone I recognize

If itā€™s an anxiety dream, present/future
I donā€™t think Iā€™ve had too many dreams set in the past, but people who have died irl do appear in them occasionally
Most of my dreams are either hyperrealistic or completely fantasy (and I mean, everything from dreaming Iā€™m late for an exam to dreaming that Iā€™m a dragon flying around trying not to get stabbed by dumb humans)

Depends on the dream. Some jump a lot but others are consistent. I read that this has to do with how long your REM phases are and how many times you go into REM, cause the weird little hiccups of inconsistency happen when you pass through the deep sleep phase in between dreaming.

Sometimes, yes. Especially if Iā€™m dreaming that Iā€™m at some fancy feast with lots of beautifully served food and I want to take a food photo so I pull out my phone or camera and then get frustrated that the photo wonā€™t take for some reason (which usually wakes me up lol).

Sometimes itā€™s a familiar place, like my grandmaā€™s old house but with extra rooms or extra staircases. Other times itā€™s somewhere completely new, and often it feels familiar in the dream but when I wake up I can say with certainty itā€™s somewhere Iā€™ve never visited before. I remember one time I had a Narnia-like dream that seemed to last for ages, and in the dream I led a kingdom into war, became a war hero, became the ruler of the kingdom, and died of old age. None of those landscapes were places Iā€™ve actually seen, obviously, although I donā€™t doubt my brain mustā€™ve pulled inspiration from somewhere. Also, that was a hella long dream cause I woke up when I died in the dream and was confused af.

Lol why is that post replying to Wazza
Maybe cause I stole the formatting, oh well

Iā€™ve only hallucinated during sleep paralysis One Time. The milf lady from Resident Evil was standing at the foot of my bed. I could only see her out of one eye. I have never played or seen a playthrough of Resident Evil
