I get why its bad, but its also a risk. If I publicly announce who I shoot, and it backfires, than it gives the town the knowledge that it backfired, rather than just being an unexplained second death.
Its a double edged sword, either way.

I mean, if we see the following scenarios, I think we can deduce you shot:

  1. Mafia dead (you shot them).
  2. 3 town dead (mafia kill, the person you shot, and you dead from guilt).

I think the only way we wouldnā€™t be able to tell if you shot is if mafia targeted the same townie as you or just killed you (making only 2 deaths)

I donā€™t see a rational timeline where the confirmed players make it to a final day scenario (barring that at our current pace, that might not matter). I believe they would have to be cleared out of the way by evil night killing before the end game, Marl could still have been doubted. Iā€™m not sure what you mean by social confirmation, could you elaborate on that?

I fully trust Kiirumas claim, just because I knew someone would have to have an ability that misfired just judging on my own passive, and I dont see any reason anyone would lie about having a misfiring ability in the first place. and that alone, has pushed Kiiruma alot up in my own town reads, which is a bit meta and I acknowledge that, but they wouldnt be my top priority today anyway.

Sure. Literally everyone in this game thought Marl was town except for Bee, but Iā€™m going to disregard that info because they seemed really confused on how to read people. They were socially confirmed because of their active game-solving. They were also likely town as the first night was speculated to have been an attack on him with Meme protecting him
