my first impression of frost’s cape progression was that i didn’t like it on a gut level, because it was kinda just, see the post that looks like a peek, decide it makes cape a wolf, never reconsider, never explore further, which is the easiest way for a wolf to go about it.
it got worse when i looked further. up to this point, frost had accepted the peek, had been shading a cape post here and there, and had been ignoring cape otherwise. unless i missed some crucial posts where frost started to turn around on cape (and please tell me if i did), frost moved off of cape at eod, without ever actually talking about why not to vote cape, just saying he was fine with voting ghana.
i mean, if you think a guy’s redchecked… and you’ve been shading his posting… and you haven’t brought up a reason you might be wrong… you usually vote him. “this vote is fine too” isn’t a reason to ignore a redcheck that you have no reason to doubt.
i’m respecting the strong townreads other people have had on frost, but i think he deserves serious scrutiny. i doubt he really believed in the difference check. i doubt it in a frost-knew-it-was-wrong way.
