I was attempting to strike a balance between being fast and letting luck on which shows came up determine the outcome

I do agree that from a mid-game event perspective it was probably too far on the “avoid luck” side of that balance, but I don’t personally think it was excessively so? It’s definitely not the case that the scores increase linearly over a round of AMQ, and more variety of songs does help in choosing the “correct” winner, which is only really possible by including more songs. Interested to hear if you disagree with any of that.
