one time i wanted to play a blind and deaf and mute dnd character with no arms and no legs. the DM privately messaged me asking “hey if u wanna troll id rather u not play”. very judgemental of him. no open mindness. bad dm

it doesn’t take nearly that long to create a character unless you get into a detailed backstory, if you’re starting from level 1 it’s reasonably quick
