Are you familiar with the structure of a pile?
Typically a “pile” will be a sort of “heap” of objects - I understand I’m defining with a synonym here, but I’m sure you get the idea. It’s a lot of different objects stacked on top of each other in a disorganized manner.
If you’ll look at this stock image of a “pile” I got off of Duckduckgo, labeled to represent the context of this mafia game, you’ll find that some objects (players) are on top of (more wolfy than) others, while still being present within the pile. If one were to take an object from this pile at random, it is more likely that one would select it from the top, as it is closest and most obvious place to reach to, but it is still entirely possible that one would dig through the “pile” and take one from the bottom.
I am absolutely deranged at this point.
