yeah its fine dont worry the start will be very slow. everyone will draft a mon, 1 by 1, until all 48 are drafted. before any fighting. so this might take a while

Since the game filled so suddenly I will give everyone 48 hours to think about their first pick. Please use this time to read the game and formulate your strategy to win!!! After that, I am hoping you will have read the game and you will be able to submit your picks within 24 hours, and even faster, once you have your eyes set on targets. I will also allow and welcome you to proxy pre-submit your picks, depending on any conditions you set, especially towards the end, to speed up the process when thereā€™s less choices to be made. Feel free to pre-submit privately to me, and I will pick for you publicly in case youā€™re offline

Also, remember that once we begin the tournament, the pairings are not randomized. Trainer 8 (Willow) gets to pick her opponent and her square in the bracket tree, then trainer 7 (Chomps) gets to do the same (unless he was picked by Willow), and so on and so forth, descending, down to Trainer 1. Take that into account when drafting!!!

Guile, gambits, risk, mindreading, trickery, outsmarting, calculations, analysis - do everything you can do to claim the title of Gen 1 FoLermon Champion!!!

Also - is there anybody completely unfamiliar with how Pokemon battles work? These work identical, except 2 major differences I outlined in the OP. There are some other mechanics of how standard Pokemon battles work that I glossed over in my briefing. If thereā€™s anyone unfamiliar let me know and I will explain in detail!!

And feel free to ask me any and all questions!!!
