Whereas sorc’ing a mafia literally just confirms 1 maf down and that member is either in hard antispew or just has to instantly bomb to avoid it. Which doesn’t give them much to work with.

I would personally choose to sorc mafia rather than town if I had a choice
It eliminates 2-for-1’ing and forces mafia into a rough situation.
Why would you ever want to give it to town with good reads?
Either give it to an inactive or a person with bad reads (and direct them) so that you don’t lose a strong town member. Or give it to a mafia member so they cannot double.
