Yeah i think you were in a bad spot. Claiming watcher got you out of hot water but ultimately it became your tomb in final 3.

I think the thing you needed to do was allow town to eat itself day 1 (at least before i showed up because i just wouldnt allow it as much as i could through posting) to switch off the w/w wagon. Then at night just shove me off a cliff and work from there.

It might not have worked but imo it has a lot more scum ev than conceding day 1 and trying to work it out because you will have people like me who just look at all the town day 2 and go ‘wait these are all town’ lol

Also going to put my reflection here so I look at it when I’m vanity isoing myself later.

PROBLEMS WITH THIS GAME

  • I was legitimately listening 8 hours and 45 minutes of the Super Mario Brothers Super Show and playing mahjong for the first 12 hours of the game, after which I promptly went to sleep. I only even logged on to Olivest a day into the game, after which we were already sus.

    • SOLUTION: Literally don’t do this. Massive skill issue. Just leave the VC and close Discord, clown.

  • Because of that 24-hour initial freeze, I had a lot of thread to catch up on, and having severe, unmedicated ADHD means that task gets pretty daunting if I don’t find it fun. Having no deduction to do makes the task not fun.

    • SOLUTION: Keep up with thread better, so I don’t have to catch up all in one chunk, and get better into the town mindset as scum - convincing myself there is deduction to do fixes this problem, if I can manage it.

  • I didn’t talk to anyone in wolfchat, which meant 1. we did absolutely zero planning and 2. I didn’t feel any motivation to bring the win home for my teammates, because, again, I hadn’t talked to them.

    • SOLUTION: Talk in wolfchat, even if I can’t be around thread for whatever reason. Don’t hide it from myself muted in a Discord folder I never check. Even this change alone is huge for me, and I think this the major difference between Pathologic w!May “tryhard towncleared D1” vs here, so I gotta remember to do it.

  • The game wasn’t directly on my account, so things weren’t… “under my name”. There was a barrier of abstraction between throwing and losing and myself, so I didn’t feel that sort of… social pressure to do something I otherwise wouldn’t.

    • SOLUTION: I literally signed up as a hydra because doing so gets rid of the pressure in my mind to be dedicated to the game beyond that which is healthy. This just worked as intended. Unfortunately, what is beneficial to my health is not always beneficial to my wolfgame.

  • Once EoD came around and I was able to put in effort, the wagons were already WvW and it felt like there was nothing my effort would do to actually improve the game for us.

    • SOLUTION: Plan more. Again. That would’ve prevented the wagons from being WvW, of course, but it would also give me something to do at that EoD: set up my buddies for a better flip.
