Let me think about this one.
Not going to change how this round functions, but I will use the data from players’ behavior this round to figure out a solution.

The Guess Limit International Pact of 2024:
-
Under this pact no player, either In or Outside of this pact, is permitted to guess a player more than once.
-
Should this happen, procedure will be the following.
a) Pact members will “vote” (defined as guessing a player for every alias) exclusively for any player who voted more than once unprompted. It is not considered a violation of this rule to guess a player multiple times if you are doing it to fulfill the duties of this pact.
b) should multiple players violate this rule, priority for “voting” will go towards the player who guessed the least total individual players
c) Pact members will coordinate to distribute “votes” among all violators, until all violators are no longer in the game -
Other violations include strategically voting outside of the agreed upon pact consensus voting coordination. This puts you on the list of violators. If you are defined as a “pact member” and do not follow through, even if it is to not guess at all, it is considered a violation.
-
It is not a violation to choose not to guess for some players. You can choose to only guess 5 names, as long as none are repeated.
-
Voting in the below poll as “I choose to be a member of this pact” puts you in the list of pact members. This list will be updated, using the poll, at the end of every round. You are free to leave or join the pact at any time (done by changing poll vote), but your status as “pact member” only updates at the end of each round. If you are in the pact at the end of the round, you are expected to follow pact duties and failure to do so is a violation.
TL;DR. You may not guess a player more than once, and if you do, all pact members will solely guess you and any other violators until you cease to be a part of this game. You can join or leave whenever you want, but if you volunteer to be in the pact at the end of a round, you have to do pact things for the next round.
- I choose to be a part of this pact
- I choose not to be a part of this pact

Membership is not compulsory, but if you believe in the GLIP mission to limit guessing one player multiple times, please join GLIP
Nah.
I’m only guessing one player per alias but I’m not joining the pact because I want to keep trying to honestly guess aliases rather than spending all my time punishing defectors even if someone guesses multiple players per alias
(I also think this would be better handled with a rules patch than with coordinating to punish defectors but that’s up to Ash)
I agree but GLIP is a measure to ensure it doesnt turn into survivor if this takes a while OR if ash decides not to change the rules
I’m not joining it unless the pact will actively root out anyone not in the pact.
we will not do this, it is not part of the mission or bylaws. it is not an alliance
get modkilled idiot
what’s This
Oh, so now you’re killin’ people by law? Sounds shady and impractical to me.
oh is this just an attempted fix for “guess each alias as one guy”
“this” = “the risk of the game turning into Survivor”
i can get behind that but the wording of the pact implies once ever which i do not agree with
but once per round i can agree to
to clarify, its once per round.
“guessing a player more thanonce” is specifically in reference to per round
Just to be transparent, I will make a decision on this issue and the issue of unsubmitted ALIASes once I get back to my dorm tonight (hopefully in five hours’ time). Reminder that I’m on a film set today, and we’re kinda running behind as is.
Any decision will only take effect from next round on - I don’t want to set a precedent of mid-round changes - but I would highly, highly recommend veering away from blanket voting.
