‘catching up on posts that you missed’ is a strategy that makes sense
‘responding to those posts’ is a strategy that makes sense
where it stops making sense is when it turns into ‘catch up on posts while unable to respond, then go back and respond while pretending that this is the first time you’ve read those posts’

also, just saying, if we all agree not to do that there will be fewer posts
obviously ‘fewer posts’ is not universally a good thing but it’s not like y’all aren’t already putting out more than enough readable content
