i’m reading the wiki page for village idiot as one does to understand the roles i have never seen before (don’t question my reading comprehension skills when i haven’t seen stuff my brain goes into haywire) and if the village idiot can do rhymes while speaking naturally why is it an idiot, whereas the boffin actually sounds like the scientist it is (although maybe not super evil)

You might be skeptical as to why I’m pushing a good check, here are the top 5 reasons:

  1. Odds are more likely in the favor of my info being wrong!
  2. An execution for info is the best in the first day as we probably are not gonna catch an evil, unless we luck out which we very much can with this here execution.
  3. Putting myself out and with a clear target is benefitial to me as to show my intentions.
  4. I just don’t like hydras.
  5. The hydra is not even signing up their posts, -EV for town.

For point 1, here are the maths:

Village Idiot: Cop check, 1 to 3 spawn, 1 always has wrong info.

1 = 100%
2 = 50%
3 = 33%

Adds up to a total 61% of fake info right off the bat! But wait, there’s more.

There’s also the 2 in 9 chance of one of my neighbors being a No Dashii which would poison me and revert my check, so adding our togheter 61% check with a 2 in 9 chance becomes… 72%!

Last one is Xaan which is currently too subjective to calculate, so our total chance for my “good” check on the hydra to be incorrect is 72% + A Xaan day 1 poison.

Therefore the hydra is the best lynch for day 1 and I would appreciate your support :heart:
