I’d suggest that the neopolitan check Creature tonight. I_like_posts would be acceptable too. If I’m the neopolitan, I’ll be checking one of them.
I highly doubt it.
(Tip: This site discourages the use of the word “lynch”.)
((Personally, I don’t like it. Still, I’m doing since it means less people can complain at me.))
Eh… tutuu, Luna, potatocat, jail, Leafia… I don’t see a reason to vote out any of those five, and I don’t see it happening either.
FMPOV, the only way people (in general) are getting voted out are because one player has experience with another player, and recognizes a discrepancy in the other player’s play style.
(For instance, this is the reason why potatocat scumread Chomps: She recognizes that Chomps -according to her own experience- doesn’t have many opinions as Town.)
So far I don’t see anyone pushing against any of the five (other than Chomps’ OMGUS vote on potatocat), and I don’t think anyone will push them. (It’s a darn miracle what 3 hours worth of reading can give me. Usually I don’t get this much insight whenever I play FM.)
I don’t mind strongly enough to object to these names. This is perfectly suitable for all intents and purposes.
The issue being that if only one or three of any of them isn’t ice cream, the votes could tie and fail nonetheless; hence why having three names would reduce the margin for error, but it’s fine either way. The risk of choosing three non-town feels incredibly unlikely to be fulfilled and in such a case the protection target would’ve missed anyhow.
Alright hmm I’m kinda used to using it both on MU and here, but I can stop if someone specifically asks me to stop using it.
The hydra sure, I was talking specifically for neil. I generally don’t look at hydras as one entity, I treat the two players as separate. (I know from experience that “one programmer makes a code in one month, two programmers make the same code in two months”). In case somebody wanted to specifically refer to neil - there you go
Going to head out for RL now too so talk to everyone more later.
I don’t feel strongly about these, but if I forced myself to do stuff, I would say that I have some mild suspicions on Chomps, Creature, ILP.
I had the exact same though youbie had that Chomps seems too helpful to be town. He was very helpful in Kakegurui. In the last game, as town, getting him to say reads felt like pulling his teeth. I think that I hesitated to voice this because I didn’t want to discourage him from doing it, since that is generally what is expected from townies to win.
I am a bit suspicious of the fact that Chomps seemed to have “flicked a switch” after that exchange with youbie. “After” is the keyword here; this is the bigger reason for my suspicion. He is now doing the other Chomps Thing where he decides to arbitrarily tunnel someone and refusing to state a reason. He did that to Creature last game, he is now trying to do it to potato. He is known to do this as town.
So… my concern here is that Chomp’s behavior here makes a lot of sense as wolf. First, he tried applying the playstyle that has been effective for him in the past as wolf - “be helpful”. Then, after being suspected by a villager (I think potato is a villager) - my concern is that for Chomps, if wolf, it is a good and smart play for him to think "Okay, if you are going to scumread me for being too towny and helpful, which I am known for doing as mafia, I will now do the thing I am known for as town - decide to tunnel someone with no reasoning behind. I hope you will now townread me for this as this is my prior town behavior). Chomps is a smart wolf.
Also, generally weird OMGUSes I think are >rand towny, but not for Chomps. I got fooled by this in Kakegurui. He OMGUSed Frostwolf who was pretty much confirmed town, and it was so bizarre that I townread him for it, but I ended up wrong. If I would like to remind myself, and let everyone know, that townreading Chomps for bizarre OMGUSes (generally; always) is ill-advised
This post is getting lengthy so I will cut it there and make new ones for Creature and ILP.
Creature is just gut. I’m making a guess. A gamble. I’m making a guess that Creature wouldn’t be thaaat demotivated. Demotivated isn’t the correct word, really. I’m unsure. I’m ESL, reminder. Uhhh. “Callous”? No, not callous. Uh. “on-the-nose”. I don’t know man. Basically, I had some “tingles” that Creature is trying to artifically come off as chill. I’m not putting a lot of stock into this. I struggle to read Creature, I think. I’m not sure if this post is any good. Basically my reasoning is “gut”. And trying to explain “gut” is probably in vain
The hydra. What was the name. ILP. ILP - just felt out of touch. Out of touch is maybe not the correct phrase. Reminder i’m ESL again in case that phrase is used as insensitve. “Out of sync”? I felt like neil’s posts are greatly, greatly out of sync with the tread. I, and others, should be wary that neil isn’t a regular here, and it’s probably been a year or more since neil last played here. But it is what it is, I just have “gut” that tells me “out of sync”
Zone. Zone my gut tells me “townread”. A few posts had vigor in them. Fire. I am feeling overloaded right now trying to solve. Sorry I don’t want to dig. Maybe latter after a recharge. My battery exhausts fast. Anyway what I was saying… Uh. Zone. Yes, Zone. Okay so - Zone - I have seen Zone be very easily townread. He has so much fire - a ton of fire. Confidence. Vigor. He puts his foot on the ground and says “this will happen”. I have not seen him as mafia. So I don’t have a comparison. So this is a generic thing I"m choosing to townread him for, not specific. I think his “fire” - specifically around the hydra - it made me think town. Okay I remember the post now. Or the line. Specifically the line says “As long as the hydra isn’t here I’m happy”. In the townread chocolate users. It felt like he has been slapping the hydra around for 10 minutes and then he just went back and kicked them again just for good measure. That’s how I imagined when I read it. I felt amused by how much he’s going aggro on their asses. And it made me feel - town. Town hunter
I should cut it here. I haven’t read all posst. Mafia overloads my brain. Even just bits and pieces make me go into overdrive. I can’t read all and function fully. After some rest I will read more and think. I’m also trying a shift in my playstyle which is extra burden on my exhaustion. Trying to get out of comfort zone
VOTE: Chomps
we’re bever beating the bad town allegations
i get townread as mafia and wolfread as town i like it either way it means i am not wrong
Okay no I can say this
I overtuned my jail townread a bit. My gut told me to. I have no logical reason to townread jail so much. I haven’t seen him wolf. I was applying a generic mild town tell - “this player is acting sensibly and seems happy and enthusiastic” = town. Minor thing, but hard to have anything other than minor at very start of the game. So it’s okay to read people for such minor things I think at adequate stages of the game. I do have the youbie townread on jail which reassures me more. So I should still keep jail someone in townreads. But I should remind myself to not like “sleepwalk” into perma townreading jail. I did this with Zug last game. Don’t sleepwalk sheep. Okay
What else I can squeeze out… Frostwolf. Comfortably null. Lack of desire to engage in SoD posting tilts scale a bit into wolfy, but then he had this cadence / confidence / imperative sentences that are archetypical town frostwolf which tipped scales into towny. Overall balance. Yeah, balance is a good way to put it. But I haven’t read his other posts. I’m not sure why I’m saying this then. Oh well I will not delete and click “Reply”. Full honesty
It usually takes me time to get into the game. I also vowed to not mindlessly tunnel Leafia again.
I don’t know what that leaves me. Unless I sheep you on Chomps being a wolf.
I think forming a consensus on the wagons this early would be odd. It’s still so early, I think it’s good for things to be “free-flowy” still for a good while
This is so funny to hear someone say, but also this isn’t MU and so players probably are unfamiliar to my latest wolfgames.
I think I tend to struggle to post a lot more as a wolf and so I end up posting very little, but I also may post very little if the game is boring me.
Alright imma go to bed been good chatting gl everyone
You seemed fairly easy to read in the previous game whose name I forgot (oh it was Wrogn mafia).
