I feel like I should mention that usually it’s a good day strategy to make someone the top wagon and force them out of the comfort zone. Once they feel town enough, move to someone else and repeat.

However, aorn I don’t feel like getting into action.

Interesting, is this the meta on MU? From games I’ve played across multiple sites this resulted in players getting tilted and basically going “none of you guys can read me, fuck you all” and then they give up and then everyone scumreads them for giving up and then they flip town. Well, not always, this is a bit cynical anecdote, but I’ve seen it happen a lot. Not that I’m discouraging it, I’m unfamiliar with forum mafia “meta” these days. Just sharing my experience

im putting out my arbitrary read because its probably stupid but i as town have a goal in relaying the information and conclusions i am making.

All reads are either stupid or none of them are.

Relaying information is good. Very good, even. However, the information you gave was a read / an opinion (which could be considered as a conclusion; I consider reads as conclusions), and the read was arbitrary.

So basically it’s calling someone town/mafia for “some” reason. Yet you don’t specify why.

…I am not going to push further than this, but I’m also not going to move my vote.

Please elaborate. As Mafia, this is a free “don’t check me tonight” and as Town, this is a free “let me be part of the few people who decide who gets healed”.

There’s no reasonable reason as to why you wouldn’t want to be part of the group as either alignment.

Eh… Fair enough, but if you don’t want someone on the list, then you have to suggest to replace them with another player. Even Frost recommends “whoever doesn’t get executed Today between ILP and Chomps”. So: Who do you recommend?

1. every day we hold an unofficial vote for X players (X = # of living mafia + living cop + 1) to use chocolate mode. the remaining players choose vanilla mode and allow the cop to get a reliable peek on them

This sort of thing doesn’t usually work tbh. If the cop decides just them, then 100% of decision is town. If we all decide than only 75% of decsision is town. I back cop yoloing BUT we should just force 4 or 5 POE to go vanilla 100% for cop to check and then we all soft a green on one of the decided poe.

I agree with this. This is a better plan than @Frostwolf103’s plan of putting “whoever lives between ILP and Chomps” as Chocolate.

We don’t have POE yet, but the closest thing we have to that are those two players. Whoever survives should stay as Vanilla.

There are a lot of issues with this

1. Why is “only 75% of decision is town” a problem? All mafia games work like that when we decide the daily execution. How can the cop decide on their own way when they can’t speak? If everybody gets to willy nilly decide on their own to use chocolate that’s an excuse for wolves to not get red checked

2. You suggest “we” to force 5 Vanilla. How do “we” do that without including the mafia in the decision, something you just claimed that is bad and should be avoided? Our current plan forces 9 people to be vanilla. That is a bigger pool for the cop, its more likely to have wolves in it

3. Everybody softing a green outs the cop if the cop gets a red

I would urge you to not do this if you’re town, in case this is a joke. I think you are aware FoL suffers from lack of town wins. I think everyone agrees it would be good if we play well and win for once. And if you’re serious this is egregious. If people follow the plan the cop can get red checks. Because mafia is unable to be vanilla. If villagers who aren’t consensus town decide to not follow the plan and use chocolate they might get red checked by the cop and it’s entirely their fault. Thet could have gotten green checked instead. We dont need their chocolate mode, only 1 VT vote is enough to get protection, and 5 people guarantees it
