Ice Cream Mafia - Night 1 (13/14)

I don’t remember ever accusing you of being an Askthepizzaguy here, maybe only in Mafia the Syndicate before I figured out who you were.

I thought Hippo was lol because I thought someone told me that in FAM3 (or was it FAM4?).

I will decide to follow my heart and townread Chomps. You guys don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. I won’t insist what you do. I, I will stand true to myself. Chomps town.

Nice to meet you guys

Hi. Please respond to the posts where you were pinged for the time being.

What

You were pinged at (i.e., @) in multiple posts.
Please respond to them.

…if you don’t understand something, you can just ask. Do you know where you can see your notifications in the forum?

Why is the host talking in the thread

that’s a rewiverer and not in the game

they’re a player, hosts have an orange border around their posts

…Chomps, do you think the newcomer will be able to catch up and adjust in time? I myself don’t have a lot of hopes for her to be honest.

They say I’m a mafia prodigy though

Potatocat assigned the verisimilitude of charitable deportment on spec to herself. The affluence to forthright allege choosing vanilla is virtually daring; ascribing to the contour that evils might delineate themselves as such — yet later expresses the contention of selecting Chocolate once cover to do so is offered. Furthermore, she natheless trivialises Tutuu’s blueprint even so following said opening… Disparate follow-up memorandums relate towards answering questions in a positive light over creating a varying array of readlists — yes, she has that one actual readlist early on, and a couple other loose reads afterthought; detailed at the end here.

This rejoinder doesn’t cohesively follow its source material. None will have meaning, and you won’t even care… no, it’s framed like an agreement yet phrased like a disagreement, as though Potato didn’t quite how know to handle it — “thinks town will lose” versus “don’t want town to lose”, seizing individual responsibility here.

Striking positive favour unto Marluna is intriguing for a townslip, yet said reasoning is loose enough to be dropped later without notice. Exempting the odd-off assertions regarding Jail feeling town, which unattached reasoning doesn’t seem intuitive enough to go unspoken about in the first place; as well as Chomps being her only tangible scumread throughout the day, to a confident degree; yet upon committing to a vote, she asks whether Chomps actually suspects her then doesn’t respond to the dissent as if searching for material to question the OMGUS yet didn’t want to be overbearing. It was just ignored, but she did see it — the latter response was liked.

Thesis: Potato and Chomps are thoroughly unaligned.

I give up. I tried doing this without external aid, but I can’t do it. I can’t read your posts because you are using non-common words, so I will have to formally ask you to lower the complexity of your vocabulary.

I outright don’t think I’d know how to without sacrificing clarity of transparent expression, but I can try…

Opening of essay. Shading potatocat by saying she made herself look good. (Which is not the case IYAM; people townread her for her behavior, not because she attempted to please others.)

“Potato wants to stay Vanilla? How daring. Evils would probably do this as well, but later she said she was fine with being Chocolate once the option was presented.”

The statement is correct. This is a correct recap, but for some reason the entire thing makes potatocat shady. I don’t like that.

(Okay. Now I know for bbit certain that you’re intentionally screwing people over; “Natheless” is an archaic word.)

Something about belittling or dismissing tutuu’s plan, yet still following it. Dunno what you were referring to when you said “opening”.

“Her posts afterwards focus more on answering questions instead of making readslists — yeah, she had an actual readslist early on, and a couple loose reads afterwards; I’ll mention more about it later.”

tutuu: “potatocat feels town because of her grumpy behavior. I associate that mindset with a Town who has low expectations of winning and high expectations of losing.”

potatocat: “I just don’t want to lose the same way how Town always lose on this site.”

Magnus: “potatocat’s response doesn’t match the context. It’s meaningless and lacks any care(?). [Sentence about dis/agreement can be scrapped.] It’s as if potatocat doesn’t know how to respond. [Something about comparison and responsibility.]”

RANT. I could not handle it anymore.
RANT. The following content has few (but unfortunately non-zero) involvement with the game. It is in its truest word, a rant.

At this point I have started to care less about your words. I started making this post because I cared enough about your opinion that I tried to decipher this bbitty wallpost, but the summary of this entire paragraph is basically a shade on potatocat which I don’t even agree with.

Potatocat’s response doesn’t match the context? What are you on about? “None will have meaning”? Isn’t that just the description of your filler? What purpose does your use of archaic words have, if not for standing out and making it difficult for other players to understand your arguments? What, did you think of something like: “Nobody would read my posts anyway, so I might as well ensure they can’t read it”?

Over 30 hours have passed, and thusfar you have made a bit over a dozen posts compared to the average 30 posts. Your posts are dense in content, but it’s meaningless if nobody can understand a single paragraph!

Haa… Haa… Okay, I’ve cooled down a bit. Let’s just finish transcribing this post so I can get this self-assigned task over with.

(Truthfully speaking, it would be far easier if we were to ask of Magnus to translate their own post.)

I have a gut feeling that they won’t be able to do it. Their latest post tells me as much. Hey Zone, gimme that mic. [Oi Magnus! You mentioned something about sacrificing clarity? Well do that! Because as of now, your posts are not clear to me!]

(Zone, sir… You might want to take another break. I apologize profusely, o Magnus. The main body… He is trying to stay polite.)

((And failing. Trying to stay polite and failing with monochromatic colors.))

Shaddup, you two. Back to transcribing. Magnus’ last sentence from the wallpost about potatocat and Chomps being unaligned doesn’t make sense to me, so I’m missing some context. Fetch that context!

“Giving townslip to Luna? Interesting, but then it got dropped later out of nowhere.”

Well yeah, that’s how most people read each other. You make a read, and if it is insignificant enough, then you forget about it so you can move on and be up to date with the thread instead.

“Jail feels town? Reasoning where?”

Assuming I understood you correctly; she made one at P#116.

I don’t need to translate this part.

I don’t need to translate this part either, but I need to chop these sentences into pieces this small in order for me to not be overwhelmed.

I’m not sure whether Chomps’ response could be considered as a dissent though. Nor do I know whether there was a need for potatocat to continue responding to Chomps. (Though I suppose the lack of response would make her question meaningless.)

–oh? Huh. I can finally understand the rest of the sentence. (Why is this part easier to understand than the opening of this post?) ((Woah. Did I adapt myself to Magnus’ level of complexity?)) (No. The level of complexity is actually lowered in the second half of the post’s third paragraph.)

Hm. Yeah, this is a subject potatocat ought to address by herself. I ain’t defending her for this one. (Zone, aren’t you afraid this might be read as you defending others, which in itself might make you look scummy?) Huh? Heck no. If they got memory cells to spare for that, then by all means: Let them think so.
I am just tired from transcribing the first half of Magnus’ post. It’s nearly morning, and I haven’t slept. I genuinely could not care less about whatever everyone thinks of me. ((Except Hippo. That guy gave no reason as to why I shouldn’t be trusted. That’s just a death warrant.))

What if they are V/V?
