get oranged to convince arete
Except there is something wrong with it. The lose condition is usually the opposite of the win condition and besides, town has to lose majority within a week or they lose. Besides, most of that mafia instant lose stuff was being silly.
Town wins when they lose majority (trusting enough of each other that Mafia outnumbers the town).
Mafia wins when both members have been trusted and left the game.
That second section of the Mafia wincon is intended as a timer, as there are no nightkills nor executions otherwise. As written, the Mafia wins when town “does not gain majority within a week”, which goes against the town’s wincon (losing majority). This would result in a scenario where the game wouldn’t end as Town is not gaining majority, and at worst it results in a clean tie once town goes ahead with completing it’s wincon and successfully loses majority (as they have now “lost” and “not gained” majority).
TL;DR: as written, the intended “time limit” does not work, and stalling a week does not prevent town’s wincon, but it guarantees the Mafia’s wincon as well. So it would functionally guarantee a straight draw. If Garfooled and Zug force a time limit anyway, neither team would win so it doesn’t matter. But why would the game take a week, anyway?
role pms are fixed now nya nya nya
Thereby implying town has to wait a week to win even if their objective is met~
