Would scum Zorvo have any expectation of not being countered by town KP day 1 though. It feels so unlikely and Marl keeps calling him town.
I honestly get why you might find the lack of commitment wolfy and Iāve done the āplaying by poeā thing as a wolf (in fact Iāve done it frequently as a wolf) but I currently simply think itās fine because I donāt think any of the people in the PoE are more wolfy than the others, I have different reasons for every single player there to be in there and when weighing those reasons against each other I donāt actually have a reason to push anyone in particular as the first yeet
Thereās also the fact that you/beancat isnāt actually a difference check because the possibility of wolves simply crosskilling on Marl (and Zorvo just being the wolf factional killer) still exists which could make you V/V

Frankly Iād currently kill beancat over you if I had to pick because of the meta reasons I brought up earlier but that meta is somewhat outdated so I donāt want to put too much stock into it

Obviously the mech reason not to do this is that beancat claimed PR and catbae claimed VT but I feel like the social stuff overrules that and I donāt want to keep solovoting molly when it seems evident she isnāt coming

Socially I understand the beancat case and was with it, but Iād want all claims out there before feeling good about voting bean.
If we do kill beancat and beancat flips as the town role he claimed then the next kill should be Zorvo or catbae pretty much always because this grouping will contain a wolf almost guaranteed
The only world where it doesnāt is a world where someone other than Zorvo and catbae punted their attack into Marl and has been sitting quiet about it which is theoretically possible but just seems unlikely gamestate-wise
If beancat flips mafia then Iād take catbae off the table entirely

Actually recently i have been told i should stop being so picky about nullish reads so i will renember that here.
I agree that bean and catbae are never aligned and if we are pew pewing i think catbae is more valuable to town if town so sure. Role meta is for losers anyway.

If catbae is town or beancat is mafia/not a roleblocker, then the wolves couldnāt have missed their kill by any means other than attacking Marl, which they canāt do if Marl is groupscum

Thereās no such thing as āpigeon/Marl w/w orchestrated thisā because no one other than beancat has provided a mech claim that would explain the missing wolf kill so itās impossible for marl to not have been the nk target unless beancat is town roleblocker and catbae is mafia
Both of these must be true at once
Otherwise Marl is just town and given the number of conditions that must be met for Marl not to just be town Iām just treating him as an IC

Assuming jack shoots demi and thats not a hit in bean scum worlds poe is lol/molly/jaiden/zorvo to fill two slots i think? Zorvo really would require me to hate role meta forever lol.

I should say that based on marlās stuff about the executioner itās possible that demisha boomed me on day 1 but i kind of doubt it, would give it a reread just to see but I think theyāve been solidly town
hopefully jack plays along actually takes the shot so we donāt have to worry about it

So, letās talk about three posts that made me think really hard on catbae and made me change my read
I agree with all of these catbae posts about vulgard. This isnāt a dismissal of vulgard, I think in my current view he is highly likely to be correct two days in a row on two meta reads, so vulgardās total play is obviously not an issue this game. However this was what I was feeling earlier and why I was trying to teach Vul. Naturally, Vul has a PoE and doesnāt care to sort it (which is reasonable) while I am always full of WIM and curiosity so it makes sense that styles would clash and okay thatās all I have to say for now about Vul.
Anyway, catbae has an OMGUS problem. Last night when I was doing due diligence on him and asking questions and going through possibilities he felt worse and worse about me and I was very confused by this and ultimately just thought his answers degraded to the point of āwell this is scum.ā But then I read these posts about Vul, a man clearly town who murdered Kanave with glee and whose deep wolf equity is 0, and it made me realize catbae just really lashes out a lot because there is absolutely nothing to gain here for him as wolf other than just wasting thread space.
So then I started thinking of all of the things catbae has said today that I have found to be pings/come from a potential scum mindset and almost all of them are about people who have been questioning him directly.
So if I adjust my meter for that, catbae is back to just being good to go really. Most of the solving they have done feels to come from a genuine place, I just think they have a āglass jawā as it were. Plus, it would be remiss of me to not allow a good player to see their eod1 target dead at their feet when it would certainly confirm them town before deciding to vote them out.
It is unfair, but I respect effort and also I donāt see the deep wolf path for catbae. If bean is indeed town roleblocker, well, weāll come back here tomorrow.
Given that adjustment for playstyle though itās never catbae today though because outside of that they have felt fine.
