∘ ☙ Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler Mafia -- GAME OVER ❧ ∘

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

Planning only for a single outcome is foolish and futile. Nobody can perfectly predict a single future. Some might respond to this inevitability by attempting to plan for every scenario, to take all the unexpected variables into account, but this is just as doomed a task. There is no way to prevent the need to think quickly and respond to unexpected outcomes. It is a skill everyone must build sooner or later, whether through a simple game or through abject failure in life. This academy’s goal is to teach this lesson as young as possible.

Competition is an essential part of life. The very purpose of this academy is to determine who deserves to succeed. Those who remain have fought long and hard already, but they still must prove their worth in front of the dice.

Ririka Momobami: Hidden Face

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

Most of the students here know next to nothing about you. They have seen you standing behind the student council president with your face hidden, but they have absolutely no idea what lies behind your mask. Your anonymity protects you, and until the right time comes, you are happy to keep it that way. You will lie in wait until the perfect time comes to go all-in.

Ready to gamble?

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

Ability: All non-killing actions targeting you fail, even if strongwilled. Each night, select a player. They will learn that Ririka Momobami is following them.

Gamble Won: Remove your mask. Actions targeting you no longer fail. On any following night, you may choose to reveal your rolecard, sans alignment. It will be posted publicly in the thread. (You may only do this once.)

On subsequent gamble wins, actions targeting you will fail during the following night.

No matter the justifications about power, money, status, education, about learning to accept risks or compete ruthlessly, no matter the ways we rationalize it to ourselves, there is only one real reason to gamble: for the love of the game. To come in with any other expectations is ultimately to set one’s self up for disappointment and complete ruin. Gambling is a fool’s errand enjoyed only by the truly insane, and it is time we learn who among us is one of them.

It should not come as a surprise that there were more deaths last night. We appreciate the dedication and cooperation of the surviving students.

Kaede Manyuda: Choice Poker

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

With access to the Student Council’s treasury, you can afford to up the stakes just about indefinitely, and that’s exactly what your game is designed to let you do. In Choice Poker, there are only two moves: bet or raise.

Once you place down a bet, your opponent must make their choice. They can place a nominal bet for the hand and show their cards, leaving your bet as the stakes for the hand. You’ll start the next day with that wagered vote placed for your execution. Alternatively, they can raise the stakes, accepting the risk of their own execution but keeping their hand hidden. If you can’t push them out with one bet, you can raise them back, wagering two votes, then three, then four, however many you can stomach in order to win. And there is no other option: you will win.

Ready to gamble?

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

Ability: During the first half of each day, you must select a player. The following night, they choose to either show you their abilities (as they appear on the player’s rolecard, sans alignment) or start tomorrow with an extra hidden vote toward their execution*. If your target chooses to send you their rolecard, you start the day with equivalent hidden votes toward your own execution, and you cannot act the next night.

*Hidden votes will not be shown during the day or in the final vote count, only taking effect if they would change the day’s execution. They do not count for majority, nor will they be applied if majority is reached.

If you do not select a player, your target will be randomized. If you select a player you have already targeted, raise the number of votes bet by one. If the mafia would reach parity on an incorrect execution tomorrow, your ability fails and you do not learn a role.

Gamble Won: Tonight, threaten to place two additional votes on your opponent instead.

Yumemi Yumemite: Top Idol Championship

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

As an idol, it’s crucial to keep up appearances and keep your fans engaged and appeased. Your gamble is a simple game of tic-tac-toe that encourages audience participation. The act goes like this: you call a fan up onto stage, and the two of you take turns selecting squares, each of which is its own mini-game. The victor of each mini-game gets to place a mark in the particular spot they’ve selected and gains the corresponding item, and the first player to complete a row, column, or diagonal gets a life-changing reward.

Of course, this is all a show. The challenges are completely rigged. The winner is determined in advance. To keep things thrilling, you’ll let the fans have every other round. After all, what’s the fun in the show if they figure out that the stakes aren’t real? You already know you’re going to come out on top by the end of things, so you have the comfort of knowing there’s no way you can lose this… so long as you don’t get overconfident.

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

Ability: Each night, target a player (different from last night) with an ability from your tic-tac-toe grid and place an X in the corresponding spot. The next day, the player you target may select an ability from the grid to use on the following night and place O in the corresponding spot. Their target will not see the board or gain any abilities. The first player to complete a row, column, or diagonal of three identical symbols (regardless of who placed them) receives a reward.

Hi. I dont know who the mafia is. For some reason I forgot to ISO the dead wolves. Last night I received lol’s blackmail thing

Lol, why did you roleblock me on n3, the same night i was given a booster power from you?

You RB me on N2 to boost my power for N3, but then you RB me on N3 to boost me on N4? That seems counter productive?

Im going back to bed

Chomps, who did you track?

Be careful @Chomps @lol @Marluna

Did anyone redirect me this night?
The result I got from Frost’s idol ability seems impossible.

It said i got redirected and i tracked Marluna and got Chomps, Marluna, Chomps (yes me twice)

which means this is Marluna’s claimed ability plus a redirect they used on me to them? what did your ability do again @Marluna

also i was the one that didn’t skip night i needed some peace for some games, f4 is spooky if there’s a 3p gg ig

How would you know you tracked me once it says you were redirected?

I think Frost used his Magnet on you.
and you tracked his actions.

a redirection (the Magnet) a misc (his idol ability) and an investigative ability, he used on me.

(I used Frost’s follow on Frost and I got redirection, misc and investigation.)
The weird thing that Frost’s rolecard doesn’t really mention about any investigative ability. (childe wasn’t non-town, so his gamble couldn’t worked.)

I misremembered. I received your boost on N2 and N4, which means you RBed me on N1 and N3, right?

What an odd game. Whoever one of you is the mafia something weird happened. I think. I’ll summarize in a few hours. I was about to case lol thinking he has to be the wolf and I felt relaxed having the answer but now I’m unsure

i mean you were my main target before i got redirected and i thought the ability you claimed did it

No. If you tracked me, you shouldn’t have notified of a redirect.
My ability doesn’t redirect the player watching me, it just screw up the results. (You should have seen the targets of my target) but Frost’s follow ability doesn’t gain the same result, so if you have tracked me after you got redirected, you should have seen me visiting Frost at least once. (ergo the three names you got aren’t from tracking me.)

I don’t understand the thing with Chomp’s feedback. It looks to me like people are genuinely confused about it and I don’t think they’re lying about it. That’s everything I’m gathering

I think I might believe this. This is something lol would do, and Chomps. Not Marluna.
