one thing on the back of my head is why mafia has kept me alive for this long, i was waiting to see if anyone would bring this up beacuse i think it would definitely be used to mislynch me, but mafia having a deception role would seem more likely
Marluna claims a ninja/strongmanner which is eh… but if i tracked a mafia i think this claim could be used maliciously to discredit me, i think her role might be another deception one if she’s mafia since she could safely ignore my tracks if they were unreliable somehow

Lol’s role seems okay, roleblock with a boost it would be quite risky for mafia in general since he could boost a target he wants not to act, or a gamble:sparkles: for mafia to use it on themselves and coordinate to lower the damage
First, to define lol as a person. lol is a peaceful person. He hates competition. Specifically the one that makes people be rude to each other. For him, it’s very important for everyone to be calm, and to be chill.
This is a cookie thread post he wrote in April this year. And I believe he is accurate about his self-assessment. And that self-assessment is “I am perceptive of what people are comfortable with and what they’re not”.
Lol is perceptive of it. Lol is an intelligent person. Both in terms of pattern recognition - he scores absurdly high on IQ tests - but also in terms of emotional intelligence, or EQ. He knows what people are likely to get upset by, and he avoids upsetting them.
Lol is non-confrontational. At most, he might upset people by making a joke. He just wants to have fun. This is evidenced by him being on FoL for a good while and not getting in trouble. At least after I joined.

First, a minor reason I suspect lol that is perhaps nonsensical:
As I said earlier, I believe Ash here. Could be silly of me, but I do. I think it’s a hilarious thing to admit in the thread, what the wolf chat is actually doing. Ash wasn’t invested in the game as he was busy with being the light carrying boy on a film set. I don’t think it’s uncharacteristic for Ash to just admit that they were playing rock-paper-scissors in wolf chat to determine who to bus, and then say it in response to Hippo’s post, as if he was saying that he thinks Hippo is mafia with Magnus. Ash doesn’t push Magnus/Hippo w/w read further, he does the opposite by townreading Magnus.
I think it’s very in lol’s character to do that, he probably even proposed to do it, if I’m correct at all. As I established earlier, lol is non-competitive. He looks for silly ways to entertain himself. This would just be very characteristic lol behavior
Secondly, a bit more sensible reason I suspect lol:
Lol’s relationship between him and I is that of him dunking on me. He enjoys calling me a simp, a baby, a bottom, etc.
I’m making the read that lol purposefully left me alive for f4 and never made an attack on me because he wants to dunk on me, for fun.

I think these posts are honest in that “I don’t think tutuu is towny, I shouldn’t kill him.”
There is also the angle of him trying to win by killing the people who suspected me, because he thinks it will get me executed.

I suspect there is a guilty conscience there, or perhaps more accurate to say a tiny bit of frustration, that the people who suspected tutuu died, and yet tutuu isn’t being scumread. Tutuu was supposed to get scumread for it, right?
As I claimed earlier, lol is a non-competitive person, and he likes dunking on me. I think it’s characteristic of him to make it his side-quest this game to get me to f4 and beat me. Winning the mafia game is not his top priority, that’s not who he is as a person.
Thirdly, a more sensible reason I suspect lol:
I stand by these reads. To me, it felt like bystander and lol have an inside joke that nobody else knows of. Their interaction seems “wooden” (artificial / awkward). It’s like they know each other, they’re bantering with each other, but they don’t talk outside of that. If you get to a point of bantering with someone, doesn’t it make sense to talk to them a bunch, before? If I’m correct, the “inside joke” is that they’re both mafia, they did the normal talk you usually do in wolf chat, and that’s why we see only the banter here.
And I think the naked votes are strategic. They gain advantage to lol, because nobody else was voting lol at that point, iirc. The advantage to be gained is hope that people will ISO you once you flip wolf and just check your votes without context and decide the person you’re voting ought to be towny for it.
Fourthly, the biggest reason I suspect lol:
This post goes completely against lol’s personality. We’ve established that lol is a peaceful person, doesn’t step on people’s toes too much, he is calm, and is perceptive of what will get him in trouble.
It is completely uncharacteristic of lol to write this post, as if his anger is genuine. It’s not truthful.
There is a very reasonable explanation for lol’s actions here:
He alerted Rhea that he doesn’t mean it seriously. He is doing it because he was given a mafia Role PM and was told to manipulate. It is arguably perfectly socially acceptable to call the host a hoe and act as if you’re frustrated, if you warn her that you’re lying, and everyone else will also learn that you were lying after the game, and you didn’t mean any of what you said
He likes to have fun, he likes messing around. This post is comical. It’s more hilarious than it is “wow, this person is so angry and scares me”
Lol is calm. He is not the type to uncontrollably lash out like this. The angriest I’ve seen him be is when he was unhappy that people in Cookie Thread were insinuating that “evil doesn’t exist”, which included Joseph Stalin. I could sense grumpyness, it was very minor, because he didn’t want people to insinuate that Joseph Stalin isn’t evil. That was the only time I’ve ever seen lol not perfectly at peace. He is a still lake, other than this.
This post, at Rhea, is cartoonish. Like it’s so sarcastic, so on-the-nose. It’s like he’s moreso making fun at us, the viewers, than he is actually being angry at Rhea. He’s making a show of it. He just wanted to laugh. He is not angry at all.
He wrote this post partly for entertainment, and partly because he is noticing that I’m townreading people for their emotions. So this attempt has some part of being a joke, and perhaps part of him was hoping I would townread him for it. Perhaps he genuinely thinks of me as a toddler who will see “lol angry = lol town”. That is my guess, at least.
Both Catbae and Frostwolf saw something in her that made them not want to kill her when she was the obvious suspect, between her and childe. I want to trust in them.
Not only did they not wanna kill her, they didn’t wanna kill her after childe in case childe flips town.
Catbae left a legacy to kill me, and Frostwolf evidently wanted to kill Chomps. He made that clear while he was still alive.
I want to trust in them that they saw something.

I am especially, above all, confident in my fourth reason to suspect lol. If I am wrong and lol isn’t mafia that just goes completely against my perception. And I might be insane in being so terrible at understanding people and anticipating their actions. I hope that I’m not, and that he is mafia. His behavior makes sense as mafia and I think is extremely atypical if town.
It is true that Marluna killed no wolves. Lol killed wolves. It is not an easy choice. Personally, I think lol is the wolf.
you’re probably correct btw only thing i would have done differently is try to interact with ash more ima be honest i dont know what he did or why he died first so thanks town on that one
I’d like to wait for Chomps and Marluna. If it was only up to me, I’d vote right now, but my actions will influence other people winning or losing, and I don’t wanna be hasty, out of respect for them.
