∘ ☙ Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler Mafia -- GAME OVER ❧ ∘

The replacement situation this game was unfortunate, yes. Marluna was actually the player seeking a replacement previously. She was allowed to continue posting to avoid undue disruption to the game by having so many slots empty. In a just world, she would have been allowed to be substituted out, but neither Zone nor I could find somebody.

I didn’t townread Marluna due to referencing the color fwiw, I was honest about my reasons. There were dead villagers anyway by the time she did that iirc, their role PMs were public

Kumagusu (Backup)

Kumagusu: Dealer’s Cheat

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

In the game of Life or Death, where the swords fall means everything. Players have staked fortunes on what they believe to be the random movements of game pieces. However, you have your own agenda. Your protector prevents you from becoming a house pet, and in return, you serve her by manipulating the odds of the games she relies on to afford your monthly payments.

With skill and finesse, you are able to pick up any game and tilt it in your protector’s favor. Any would-be challenger will find it difficult to eliminate her from competition. You must learn to let go, though: you cannot stop every bad outcome. The cheat would be too obvious if your mistress won every time. All that matters is that you avoid the worst-case scenario for your patron: after all, you wouldn’t want to see her angry.

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

Ability: Once per game, during the first half of the day, select a player. If they die at night or become vanilla by any means, inherit their role and lose this ability. You will appear to investigative abilities as the role you gained. Limited-shot abilities will not be refreshed. Certain roles may carry additional restrictions if inherited.

Gamble Won: You may select an additional player to back up (though you will only inherit the role of the first to die or become vanilla). If you have inherited a role, you may instead use its gamble ability as usual.

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

You win when only town-aligned players live.

Shagatake and Tooame (Odds Manipulators)

Shagatake and Tooame: Odds Manipulators

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

As members of the Beautification Council, you have a very simple job: enforce the will of your superior by any means necessary. It isn’t enough to just make the assigned arrests, though: in a school based around gambling, a crucial part of gaining money, power, and status comes down to the dice. To carry out your orders, you’ll need to manipulate random chance itself.

Find the player that needs a little nudge in the right direction, watch the game they’re playing, and figure out how you can rig it. Swap out fair dice for weighted ones, peek at the deck and swap a few cards around, do whatever it takes to help your mark, whether or not they’re even aware of it.

⚬ ♧ ⚬ ♢ ⚬ ♤ ⚬

Ability: Each night, target a player. Tonight and tomorrow, if a chance-based outcome is maximally unfavorable to them, it will be rerolled once.

Gamble Won: Select two targets instead of one tonight.

Ability: Each night, choose a player to visit. This does nothing. Once per game, you may choose to bet everything on your target; that night, if they are not aligned with the town, you will die.

Gamble Won: Gain an additional use of your one-shot ability. You must use it tonight.

I would have been really sad if Marluna was the wolf because that’d be the obvious suspect, and I decided to not chop the obvious suspect. Its bittersweet to lose to Chomps, it doesnt feel that bad. I feel bad for not giving Frostwolf more respect, he deserved it. But other than that I didnt feel like Chomps being the answer was easy to derive from the ISOs of the dead people. Losing games like that doesnt feel that bad. I dont feel like I was trying to be a hero with my reads
