wagonomics is largely based on a series of speculative assumptions that have never ever been verified and very frequently are incorrect, but people speak as if it’s somehow science despite having an abysmal track record
in particular here flipping Ash on the basis of resolving the counterwagon does not actually tell us very much - if he’s town then tthe votes were meaningless and scum could do whatever they want, i.e. we learn nothing
if he’s scum of course you can speculate that people jumped on leafia and maybe a partyner tried to save him and that is entirely valid but that is putting the cart before the horse, the primary value of voting out Ash if he’s scum is you would have a dead scum
it doesn’t really hold to me that someone being a wagon on day 1 makes them more likely to be scum in any regard, because the accuracy of most towns on average is purely random on day 1
none of this is to explicitly defend him because, as I said, he isn’t really doing anything and so there is nothing to defend, if this continues he can and even should die
i claimed it earlier but you get a choice, either you take a penalty or I get one, if you are town I highly recommend not taking the penalty
