I like the idea of mafia getting, say, the identity of some random VT when the game starts
or some other small similar bonus
what does the mafoa goon RC look like
So
1/(3c6)
1 out of 20 in 20 of the 84 scenarios
1/(6×3)
1 out of 18 in 45 of the 84 scenarios
1/(2c6x3)
1 out of 30 in 18 of the 84 scenarios
That’s equal
With
1/20x20/84+1/18x45/84+1/30×18/84
1/84+5/168+1/120
(Sidenote:
168=3x2x2x2x7
120=3x2x2x2x5)
10/840+25/840+7/840 (adding this the chance town wins on the first day (10/840)
Means town has 52/840 (aka 13/120) chance of winning randomly if all mason claims D1.
As a gacha gamer, those are pretty good odds.

But you have only 1 pull. (And you can’t buy extra)
So I don’t think gacha is a good metaphor for this.
If you think about it hard enough, gacha is a good metaphor for everything in life.

This is a personal attack
Up to 3 people, not exactly 3 people.
Does this answer your question?
So then does that mean good can pick 1-2 people, but mafia must pick 3?
(Also i think you always can choose to beam a mafia as a mafia member.)
oh you right

I think mafia acting/beaming N0 might be a good enough bonus for mafia.
I considered that but an N0 guess is fully luck so IMO what they get should be predetermined
it would be very silly if they started the game with, say, knowing a group with 2/3 masons in it
It removes the parity of the mafia’s N-1 guess, but they literally have nothing to base their choice.
