You and I have different definitions of fun.

Last night we had discussion of this setup with Litten and both decided joining it is bad idea, since people will just pick blindly the weakest role, which in the end will lead into game of “hide between VTs”.

Most people don’t do plans or strategies, and from pick here it heavily redirects your game approach. And neither me nor Litten have enough faith in people actually noticing it, herby most likely sending this game in realm of low PoE hell.

There is also an issue of scum being unable to coordinate picks, which causes it to be even more likely.

Litten was theoritizing about backup scum roleblocker, which I feel neutral about. In theory it would players more willing to contest PRs, in practice it sounds off to me for some reason.

But this setup to be plaied really needs people to understand what different choice mean. Looking at earlier posts, like Zone, Zorvo etc. about what role is weaker is not filling me with optimism about it.

Cause it’s not about which role is weaker, but how roles affect the game progress as a whole.

I’m mainly spectating the game because I know I’ll read the thread anyway and I don’t want to be potentially tempted by the option to replace in later because it’d be bad for me.

You are correct on that, the choices that mafia picked will be unique experience and this also keep the mysterious aura for the town-aligned players as well

Yeah, I hope one roleblocker is enough to contest PRs, allowing for less confirmable and more interesting role picks.

As I said, Litten also said it needed even backup for roleblocker, but I’m still neutral on this. Maybe mafia rolecop would be better. I don’t know.
What I know is that playerbase is not used to strategy crafting and game analysis for this kind of games.
