Iām indecisive about the new players ATM
Because I donāt kow their actual meta, they will almost always be in my POE.
Might it be better to sort them out now, and leave the players everyone is more familiar for later?
I havenāt played much with them scum, but iāve like insta found them as town when i;ve played with them, the one game they rolled maf with me in it was FAM where i TRād them d1 and died before reevaling

Bear with me while I try to explain this. I have brain damage that makes explaining my thoughts hard sometimes. Iām also not gonna go look up posts or quote them so this is off memory.
The reason I think there is a juxtaposition between Guava and Baker that I find fascinating is this. Both self voted after being pressured. The reactions have been exactly the opposite.
But whatās even more fascinating to me is that I think Guavas self vote was classically wolfy and Bakers was classically wolfy. Hereās why.
Pressure. Guava is at the time of self voting being largely pressured by one person and one person only. Itās early and largely Guava has no pressure at this point outside Kanave. Baker is at the time of self voting a lead wagon heavily pressured with no real defense. Nobody is standing up for Baker at this point. Of these two Guavas reaction to pressure feels wolfier.
Emotion. Guavas self vote is because āif this is how its gonna be get me out of hereā its AtE purely. Itās designed to get pressure off of him. Bakers self vote is āfor the greater goodā its not an attempt to pull pressure off them they donāt appeal to anyone or try to use emotion theyāve decided that their flip generates info. Of the two Guavas AtE is wolfier.
Follow up. Guava follows up their self vote in short order by unvoting and making an awkward joke about throwing. I find that wolfs are often much more aware and wary of how their self vote will come off and so they will pull off themself quickly and try to use humor to keep people from reading the self vote like haha silly me guys. Bakers follow up is to stay on themself they havenāt moved at least as of the point Iāve read too when I started this post. They are reading the thread but their only thought on unvoting is āif itās game throwingā thatās towny. Town are more willing to self sacrifice but will always worry about how other town will view their self sacrifice in terms of game throwing. Largely follow up is wolfier for Guava.
Posting. Since the self vote Guava has largely doubled down on AtE especially with me. Thereās been no genuine solving fmpov theyāve largely continued to shade me while calling me town. Bakers posting has been to solve. They are looking for reads to bounce off. They are talking about Marluna and their read there. They are pushing a solve while continuing to sacrifice themself for the greater good. They acknowledge they are on an island and likely canāt pelt but they are trying. Guavas posting is wolfier.
But hereās the thing. Guava is wolfier by every metric someone should use to read into a self vote and yet Guava is getting hard defended. Baker is getting hard pressure.
But whatās more astonishing to me is that the pressure is nearly exactly the opposite. Largely thereās like 2 voices standing up to defend Baker one very loud one in me. Largely thereās 2 voices trying to pressure Guava while everyone else rubs their hands and tries to ignore it. Game state wise Baker is town.
Do you like to pocket them when you are scum?
