No, that’s called Beast Games I think.
no, the netflix challenge treated the beast game as non-existent. (It advertised themselves as the very first real life challenge based on squid game, but Mr. Beast’s game happened months before…)
Mr beast at least tried to replicate most games from the series. (He changed the final game, cause it is a eastern child game, which isn’t very well known in the west.)
but the challenge on netflix had so many unnecesary element and changes from the original show, that it wasn’t really about the games itself, but making drama for the sake of the drama… It is bad already without even the contraversy sorrounded by it.
(particpants were eliminated randomly based on other participant’s choice, without them having chance for any reaction, one game was decided via dice, the tug of war was replaced with an unfair version of battleship, (players could be eliminated from the winning team, as well most of the losing team stayed in the game as well) the final game was decided by roshambo… and keypicking (it isn’t really the most exciting game to watch, but it was literally half of the episode…))

Personally, I’m most excited about Wednesday.
I’ll definitely watch the final part of Squid Game, but almost definitely not the American spin-off that’s apparently going to happen.
And I don’t care about Stranger Things.
