still, having a gnawing inferiority complex sucks. like yeah sorry whenever your self-esteem gets down you start becoming obsessively envious of everyone around you. still, it’s better to occasionally struggle with stuff like this than to fold to the pressures of what was done to you.

that is a sound strategy
I wouldn’t call it a viably reusable strategy, since it places some of the burden of your mental heallth on others (and understandably since most people are not mental health professionals), but it is superior to the alternative of not doing that
