if i increase my lifespan by 20 years does that. mean i can do literally anything for the next 20 years and not die
like, since my remaining life span is definitely not negative does that mean i become invincible for that timespan

oh i didnt think of it that way. thats a creative approach. you are immortal for 20 years. you could like … single handedly stop wars? bullets bounce off your skin? interesting to think about

i think in terms of personal fulfilment. 100% mental health is fucking meaningless and also i want to have the satisfaction of overcoming my mental scars by myself. 20+ is a strong option but it’s gamble that I’m too cowardly to take. 500k makes me comfortable and gives me quite a lot of money i can use to ensure those close to me have a good life

honestly these placements are pretty variable i kinda made them up as i go

bringing back the woolly mammoth is the chaos option. you press that button if you want the news for the next few weeks to become incomprehensible as ecological collapse and scientific revolutions loom

i would like to be immortal unless there are bad catches about it. id need to read the full list of contract and mech interactions

BEST:

  • 20 years added to your lifespan (gives me more time to do things, I would like to do things forever)
  • To obtain 100% mental health (this is weird and subjective and not how I think about these things, but to obtain the perfect ideal of stability & discipline would allow me to use my years more effectively)
  • Find your soulmate (Useful to have a partner and specifically to have better knowledge of/stability with/etc of the direction my life is going to go in the future)
  • $500,000 in cash (This can be straightforwardly exchanged for many goods and services that would improve my life in an immediate manner, and investment means I can probably get more than $500,000 worth out of it, but money is not the primary limiter in my life right now)
  • Cure an allergy or intolerance you have (I might have some kind of food intolerance that’s negatively impacting my life, that would explain my relationship to eating, but I don’t know what)
  • Resurrect one person/ beloved pet from the dead (I don’t have anybody in mind but I am sure this could be used to good effect if I thought about it carefully)
  • Move to another country of your choosing (I can already do this and I don’t want to.)
  • Kill one person you dislike (It would be difficult but not impossible to do this in a way that actually creates a net benefit for me, it would probably have to be a political figure of some kind and politics are really hard to predict)
  • Put an end to the British Monarchy for good (I am not British and per the terms of the question it is “life-changing for me”, while the monarchy is bad the effects of it do not particularly do anything for me)
  • Bring back wooly mammoths (This would be entertaining but it would not affect my life very much)

either 500k or resurrection but the thing is that the person id want to resurrect might be a psychotic delusion so its much swingier risk/reward as opposed. to the surefire “okay if i crash and burn in the job market i can continue to exist for while”

as materialistic as it sounds, i’d take the 500k because it allows me to provide the most uitlity for myself and others

I feel like you’re thinking of this in a way that’s really not within the spirit of the question in the slightest.

But yeah the +20 years means you cannot die unexpectedly in hte next 20 years. Like “singlehandedly stop wars” isn’t within the spirit of the ueqstion but “you don’t get hit by a car and die until at least your 40s” is ++++good
