i mean i think terfs use Any kind of trans feminitiy as a slur bc they view it as a terrible thing, i still feel like there is def a big jump between “word used in a demeaning way” and “slur”. and if a space is the difference maker that seems like. Very semantic.

idk i def consider myself a trans woman. I usually use a space when typing it just bc I Do but if someone called me one without one i wouldnt be like, offended, it would just be shortening something. I def see myself as a trans woman above anyhting else, like thats basically how I define my gender

someone can use any word or combination of words in a demaning way. I could be like “oh you sponge. You’re a sponge” that doesn’t make sponge a slur, it just means that someone is being an asshole with the word sponge

now, if the word sponge was used almost soley to demean or opress a certain group of people for a large period of time and it was seen as a very huge tabboo to even say sponge in modern times then like, yeah it would def be a slur and would be on that level

but thats just nowhere near the case
