I wonder if there will be any players if I were to show a setup with at least three constraints on voting mechanics
Welp. Time to ask the good ol’ reliable.

Hey @Ash, do you think you will join a game where

  •
players must nominate someone in the first half of the day, before being able to vote the nominated players in the second half of the day,
  •
players who die on odd cycles will be able to live without flipping until the end of the next (even) cycle (after which they will flip),
  •
plurality is disabled, and players who don’t vote also don’t count towards majority,

?

do you mean “day phase” instead of “game”

Ye. My bad.

if the playerlist was good enough, or I wanted to play mafia enough, I’d join

Hm
Sounds like I’ll have a rough future.
Oh well. Even if all my present effort is for naught, the journey itself is enjoyable anyway.

Overall it sounds a bit painful as town, and probably fun as wolf

As town, I’d like to be able to vote for people I wolfread, and would also like flips to solve off of
And it’d be very frustrating if town wasn’t able to coordinate a majority vote at all

As wolf, strategically planning and controlling nominations, as well as the reduced accountability from delayed flips, would be nice

indeed, having some random he/him whom i do not know calling me that is not exactly reclamation.

i wonder if there’s a way i can set up my room so i can bounce around the walls without effort

HAH! No. I am talking about the “Many Systems Setup”.
I’d like to believe that it is at least a fourth as bad as Osie’s 18th Circle of Hell.

Here’s some “random words” that “may or may not be” associated to that game:

  • Cards effectively functioning as 1-Shot abilities
  • Corrupted Votes FM
  • Evolution
  • Prediction Reward (Gambler)
  • Tribe
  • Modifier (Ă  la The Cyberiad Overhaul)
  • Twilight’s Kingdom on PokĂ©Beach
  • Ever Changing Seasons
  • April Showers The Third - Alternative : Quantum
  • Inheritance
  • True Majority FM
  • Paradox Hazard
  • Sector
  • Encroaching Darkness FM
  • Questions FM
  • Darling in the Franxx FM
  • Blood on the Forums
  • Purgatory
  • Hacking

Y’know, considering BotF has it such that all living players can [nominate] and [be nominated by] exactly one other player
if Town fails to coordinate a simple “hey you. nominate the player below you on the player list”, then that’s Town’s skill issue.

Ya, I’ll be real here. I don’t think that even @Ash would play this game.
(Maybe I should cut down on some of these Systems. That way I can make more setups with more focus on less Systems.)

Hm
There were a ton of rules, but the highest two that I could remember on top of my head were:

  • Onion Roles: Each player had layers of “roles”, of which the alignments and win conditions differ per layer.
  • Actually Crazy Voting System: Each time the host was voted, the voting system changes. (IIRC there were about five voting systems, of which I can only understand three at most.)

There were probably other stuff going on as well on other players’ role cards (e.g., weirdly colored role names; celestial bodies killing off half of all living players), but these two stood out the most to me.
