Does anybody have pro tips for making sure I don’t have a keylogger on my computer besides like

  1. Run programs that try to find if you have a keylogger (have done & found nothing)
    or
  2. Look in task manager (I’ve done that like. mostly. and only found an ominous file called “program”)

run a scan on windows defender, if there is something itll probably find it

i wouldnt download a ton of programs trying to find one, that will more likely get you one than anything

what makes you so worried about having a keylogger?

a discord account of mine got hacked recently (despite me having 2fa on) and then recently I got a thing telling me to change it again for reasons unspecified

also I don’t know if it was just technology being random but my computer was being painfully slow in trying to connect to Wi-Fi this morning (at school, newly returned so i needed to put my password in)

if it got hacked even with 2fa thats probably not due to a keylogger (i admit im not like, an expert in cybersecurity or anything and am only speaking from my very limited knowledge)

as long as you’re not typing in your password I don’t think a keylogger would be very helpful for getting into your account

plus knowing keystrokes wouldn’t help get around 2fa
