Last poster before threadlock gets a cookie (cookie thread (Part 7)) (Part 8)

0.6 repeating would be 0.6/1-0.1 = 0.6/0.9 = 6/9 = 2/3

So after getting my bloods taken, my hands immediately started having what looked like red dots underneath that continuously got worse but faded when pressed so yay no meningitis

Then they started to become raised and I went into a bit of a panic but I didn’t feel awful, and thought I just had an allergic reaction to the antiseptic. I couldn’t find any info on what it was except that it looked kind of like petechia? and I was concerned it was something to do with my blood.

lo and behold today I googled again and discovered pompholyx, which would track considering the bumps are sometimes raised, and I have eczema

it also tracks with only affecting the hands

No it’s not

Hey, a game that does not have the basic qualities of Mafia is no longer considered as Mafia, right? No uninformed majority and informed minority already makes it not-Mafia.

“Aifam” is not Mafia… and therefore a Misc.
Misc. games don’t need to be reviewed.
They just go straight to the queue.

I would argue, if it uses Mafia voting system, has two distinguised group, (some extra neutral sometimes), mafia day-night cycle, and on averaeg one person can be eliminated in every phase (this can be changed depending on roles/other mechanics), that would count as a mafia game.

I was looking up the forum mafia definition(s), and I literally found nowhere, it has to be “informed minority” versus “uninformed majority”. (the only source I found using this exact definition is a more than 10 year old guide, but I would say, the game developed a lot in 10 years, to stick a so old (not even official) terminology.)

Even this site would allow your category in the standard queue, if the aforementioned unusual setup is clearly mentioned in the signup thread.

What exactly does this mean? Osie’s 18th Circle of Hell uses a multitude of voting systems, but ultimately that game is counted as a bastard mafia game.

Does this imply that any multi-ball isn’t a mafia game?

Nightless.

Orange Invitational. 200 hours worth of Day. Each execution adds 24 hours worth of Night. Not a cycle.

Nightless.

Arguably the same applies to any game with Aliens. (As per eevee’s knowledge; very much unlike Seth’s UFO Sightings.)

The reason why I haven’t bothered to deny your statement by proving the opposite is because Zelda FM successfully failed to meet your criteria of “one elimination per phase”; because Zelda FM works with Turns, in which any amount of player can die before they can enter a Trial.

[Flowchart]

Zone: “A fails my requirements to be considered as a form of B. Therefore, A is not B.”

Luna: “A has met my requirements to be considered as B. Therefore, A can be considered as B.”

Zone’s Mind, Option 1: “Prove that A fails Luna’s requirements.”

Zone’s Mind, Option 2: “Prove that there exists a C that meets Luna’s requirements, but isn’t considered as B by everyone else.”

Zone’s Mind, Option 3: “Prove that there exists a C that fails to meet Luna’s requirements, but are still considered as B by everyone else.”

[1] instantly fails, because A fits Luna’s requirement of being considered as B.

[2] would require me to search through many Misc. games, which I am too lazy to do. (Especially since I don’t even think there exists one in FoL’s history. And the closest thing to resemble B according to me fails one of Luna’s requirements as B, so that gives me nothing.)

[3] is one of the weaker forms of denying Luna’s statement, but I really don’t want to consider Aifam as a Mafia game. (1) Because it is a nice challenge for me to design a game based on Mafia, and (2) because I have a gut feeling that nobody will be reviewing any games for the coming three months or so.

So back to the original argument. Why can’t your “informed majority” versus “uninformed minority” categorized as a mafia game, where you found an expection for each classic category I just brought up?

If those can be circumstansed, I doubt a simple information change would make your game as “not mafia”.

(as for bastards, I would not touch that in definitions, since it doesn’t have a strict rule, except, the basic forum rules, but below mafia voting system I was thinking about simple plurality/majority.)

Try beating wikipedia.

You literally pointed out three posts above that almost each mechanic in this definition can be altered… and it still would count as a mafia game…

:popcorncat:

There was also Option 4, which is to not do anything at all, but I got slightly motivated to be contrary. Enough to make a post; not enough to do a full research.

Ultimately, whether the game is considered as Mafia or not will be decided by the people. Not the reviewers; the people. They are the ones who have yet to decide whether they will become players or spectators.
