LFoL 2 - Dead Chat

I still will keep this as “oldest by irl age” anytime I host it. Be warned.

I support this

The original forum of lies games were pioneers, one I fondly remember that town eventually won despite the odds stacked against the faction with cult, cult king, fool that disabled voting for days and unstoppable possessor that can be only killed via day voting execution.

While it wasn’t too balanced, it does allow stuff like Bastard to choose their victory on their terms like becoming king or win with the NK, although I think we only need 1-2 non-killing neuts and not three max.

The important choice in this game is to be extremely modular
Being tied to the standard role list lowers fun and playable rands

Yeah I understand where you’re coming from. It was bit out of standard role list by having one more non-killing neutral who has own independent goals.

I would say this game was reasonably balanced, with certain exceptions
BD’s power level is substantially higher in this game when compared to the earlier versions of FoL

In doing so I’ve hopefully added rather than subtracted

while the game is certainly a mess on a surface-level observation (and it is a mess in terms of writing)
It is peak performance in terms of actual gamefeel

Objectives fulfilled:

  • players feel potent and like they contribute
  • scum neither feel overpowering / reliant on being stomped out immediately or utterly reliant on blessed circumstances
  • neutral killers are very potent and fun to play
  • game pace is good due to a limited number of bypass kills

objectives worth evaluating:

  • bd have comeback potential (they are very reliant on not losing kp early, as observed in this game)
  • are NKs a little too strong?

Geyde can you comment on how someone lost the game to a wish

Well to be honest Litten, now you know what kind of wish it does when you want one of my night abilities replaced.

Possessor relies on subtlety, taking out that subtlety by that Court Wizard’s wish that works like magnet, I am wondering if there’s more possibly outcomes than just forced redirect on action they are not using, I thought its only meant for redirect to work from the actions that player is using?

I don’t feel bad at all about this decision
It did reveal to me that in longform possessor should have access to all that player’s private chats

The only other way I could have validly interpreted the wish fmpov was converting the prince into a possessor
but there was already a possessor

Forcing wincon and alignment? That’s bit harsh

I don’t know what Karin said in private, I only asked to replace one of the night abilities, just not my disabled night ability specifically.

Do I have to be REALLY precise and crystal clear what I wish for, even though the results will conclude in disaster no matter what?

it is harsh
wishes will be granted in a bizarre and disastrous manner
that’s the explicit text on CW

It will come true in an unexpected and likely disastrous manner.

It’s not a situation of ‘may’
it will be absurd

Well note to yourself: Don’t let the important BD players ask for wish

idk this was really funny

Replace Possessor with Reaper and you can have Court Wizard go on Death Note Arc

Lying Darkness is more accurately Death Note

So how is it going now?

did Unseen win or…?
