Icibalus is also a Mafia Veteran and I’d expect them to be able to play like they play town as a wolf including making good explanations for reads.
Why not? Having a slaker on your team hurts more than it helps. You need to have people actually willing to play the game that they signed up for.
having a dead mafia hurts more than anything
While true, I have trouble believing that a wolf would bring that up about me. It’s something that I had never even realized.
What’s the difference between a dead mafia and a slanking mafia not even playing the game? If there’s a dead mafia, at least you don’t have to worry about it getting down to only them and losing the game because of it. As well as potentially getting towncred from their death.
Don’t really have time for an expanded one of these, but here’s a truncated readslist.

Millium claimed burnout doctor saving me, Wisdom watched him, and there was no kill last night. No one else is claiming to have prevented the kill, and the mafia have a mandatory assigned factional kill. Plus he’s in his town meta as well. If Wisp is somehow a wolf then yeah he got me.
Babel made an extremely TMI-y post on Apprentice and Apprentice was the fourth person to agree with the Babel wagon? He’s been active, solving, and behaviorally townie.
Marl started the Babel push near EoD1 and locked himself into a claim that the mafia were evidently afraid of, since Babel tried to break the tie Yesterday.
Atlas has an interaction with Babel early on in D1 that I don’t think makes them aligned and contributed to putting Babel over. There’s like, a small chance that he saw my unvote and decided to fully hammer Babel to give himself town credit, but don’t think I’m interested in exploring that world right now?
I don’t think Icibalus defends Leafia like she did D1 if she’s a wolf, and she had a townie looking epiphany on that Leafia read. Plus there was one interaction that made me think she wasn’t aligned with Babel, earlier on.
I don’t know how to read Seth, but if I’m taking things at face value, I don’t think he invites attention and pressure to his slanking scumbuddy when Babel just needed to live to N1 to get a poison off, and I don’t think Seth would garcia his scumbuddy? In addition he locked himself into a claim, which is similar to what he did in MHA?
Eliza has contributed jack-all, but wolves tried to put her over at EoD1. Small chance that it was competing wolf wagons yesterday and Babel tried to push her over in hopes that a weaker wolf role would be executed?
Leafia’s focus that her role clears herself I think comes from a town mindset, but other than that, she was the very last person to agree with the Babel wagon near EoD1, so I can’t really clear her off interactions.
Frostwolf’s only thing going for him IMO is that he was the third vote on Babel. Other than that, I still fail to comprehend most of his posts.
Italy… I think his dancing around near SoD2 is townie, and I’m not really sure if the gamestate exists where he’s a wolf and we collectively decide to run up the stronger wolf role instead of him.
(Honestly, regardless of Italy’s alignment, I’m surprised that wolves didn’t try to run him up more? If he’s town, then he would have been a good counterwagon/distraction to Babel if the wolves’s goal was to make Babel survive to N1. The fact that the wagons kind of shifted from Italy/X to Babel/Eliza makes me kind of think that the wolves don’t have very strong control over the gamestate?)
Think Wisdom/Litten/Maria/Kiiruma are the slots we should be focusing on right now.
Wisdom… my main issue with her is that when the topic of Babel was being brought up as a wagon near EoD1, she disappears. I know she said that this was for RL reasons, but I can’t really recall a super impactful thing she did D1. I believe that she watched me, but it isn’t completely out of the question that she would watch the person her team was ninja-NKing to figure out which protective roles would be on me if the kill failed? I dunno. I need to think it through from her side more to really come to a conclusion.
I was townreading Litten for a behavioral thing D1, but I think I’m always going to propose that he be on the chopping block if the game looks that it might be hard. I need to take another look at his reactions at EoD1 when Babel was being run up since I don’t recall how he reacted there.
I think Babel soft-defended Maria in a way that looked a little strategic, and my worry is that she commandeered the EoD1 phase to tie between Eliza and Babel and then would tell Babel to hammer Eliza so that the wolfteam would trade three-for-one.
Kiiruma is mostly here due to PoE, but him making more of an effort to play conventionally as well as lacking any sort of Babel/EoD reactions makes me interested in solving him Today. I’m not super sure if Maria/Kiiruma are buddies given how they’re acting towards each other Today, but that might be wine?
Why is Apprentice and Icibalus above Eliza?
/vote Kiiruma @Host_Account_3
Think I’d like a tie between Kiiruma and one of the other PoE slots for now.
And honestly, I’d like it if people focused a little less on real-time interactions and a little more on rereading/hard analysis. We got a wolf flip, and while Babel didn’t post a whole lot of content, I think EoD1 in particular is a treasure trove in terms of analysis.
I’m not exactly sure what the wolves plan was, but I think I’m going with the level 1 assumption that they either wanted Babel to completely survive the Day intact, or have them hammer Eliza and then get a poison off to trade three-for-one.
I think a savvy wolfteam would know that especially as D1 ended it was unlikely that Babel was surviving much longer and they may have wanted to get towncred off their (D2) flip. I feel like the wolfteam was hoping that their last-second vote switch would succeed - so the fact that they planned for this makes me think that they didn’t have much control over the game thread Yesterday.
This is something that has merit too. Another nail in Maria’s coffin. Kiiruma I don’t really have a read on right now, but I’ve started to lean towards wolf. Something just feels weird though and I don’t like it. It feels like we’re missing something. Something big.
They’ve been behaviorally townie
Eliza has contributed jack-all
I still think we’re in a pretty commanding position, but we can’t really get complacent. Most towns in this position /do/ get complacent and then all of a sudden we’re in f5/f3 against the one or two wolves determined to fight the good fight
Just need to focus on building an airtight PoE and stamp out any out the wolf team can potentially have
My reaction to him being wagoned was “I’m not gonna vote Eliza cuz I town read them, oh btw I gtg “vote Babel”
I mean, if you think my wolf play is to not try to take control of the thread in any manner and instead do whatever I want and then vote my wolf poisoner then okay but I personally think that as a wolf I would have done a lot more there in order to try to save Babel by pushing attention onto other wagons there
When I caught up to the thread I felt like I was losing brain cells
I’m fine with a tie between me and Kiiruma.
(Also this should probably be another point against me being a wolf, since I minimize the amount of credit I get from Babel’s flip and allow another use of Marluxion’s ability. This of course assumes you think Marluxion is town)
All I have to say is that I believe that with how that end of day had gone, I could easily have wagoned two slots that were not Babel and therefore caused carnage with Babel’s ability.
Yeah, don’t disagree with you.
It’s just that you along with Wisdom are probably the most skilled wolves in this playerlist, and I’d prefer to hedge against people who I know could recover a sinking gamestate for wolves in this situation.
What is your solve looking like atm? I know you were potentially wolfreading Seth, but I’d also like your thoughts on the two core interactions I mentioned earlier.
(above was responding to Litten)
Yeah, the only time something happened where it felt like people were actively questioning the status quo of yesterday (execute in the low posters/slanking/Babel) was when Maria questioned your choice of executions and I entertained them and followed suite, but nothing really came off it;
Yes, this for me as well
I think you’re all coated in a veil of ignorance as to how easily that end of day could have been a disaster if it were not for me. Now it does not help you don’t all know my true identity but it would for sure have been possible for Babel to be completely off the table at that end of day if I wanted it.
What is this post did a demon possess your account
Most towns in this position /do/ get complacent and then all of a sudden we’re in f5/f3 against the one or two wolves determined to fight the good fight
This admittedly made me laugh IRL. Laughs You’re right too. We need an airtight PoE that the wolves can’t escape from.
