These are my pairings

I said “I will ban you” as an intentionally inactionable threat. Like in my mind it’s something I can’t do. But I literally can I am a moderator. Fuck this shit

I used to do Arete capitalisation and punctuation, basically the same rules. I was inconsistent on whether “I” was capitalised, though, I think? And some proper nouns weren’t capitalised, especially people’s names if they also typed and rendered their name in all lowercase. Then I had to stop

one time katze and I were hydraing in a game with Dya, and katze said you could sometimes tell us apart because I was more likely to use capital letters

and then later I said

I mean all words are fundamentally made up if you go back far enough

it’s not like we have Natural Words that grow on the Word Trees and are Real and then Artificial Words Manufactured In A Laboratory

and dya replied with

i thought arete was supposed to be the nerd half of the hydra?

and katze said

the post you replied to was arete

you can tell because it’s

  1. nerdy
  2. a post with capital letters
  3. super nerdy

and Dya said

see, i remember that post you made earlier about arete being the more likely one to use capital letters

but i assumed you meant like… in the correct spots

Chloe → Arete → May → Magnus is the capitalisation/punctuation spectrum

if someone’s name isn’t capitalized then I usually don’t capitalize it (depending on how much it seems like a deliberate choice on their part/vibes)

e.g. I don’t capitalize orange (as in orangeandblack5)

You typically capitalise certain key words to add emphasis and meaning, that’s obvious.
