Okay I got distracted doing things off the game but now I’m back to fully looking at the game.

Seriously speaking, Prophylaxis does look strongly town with his approach to Arctic so I’ll have him as my first townread.

What about the approach strikes you as town?

meh, all my reasons for wanting to townread prophylaxis are pretty bad. i want to give him points for ending RVS quickly and asking the useful question of “how the hell do you read kiiruma” just because of how useful an actual answer to this question would have been, but it realistically doesn’t mean much

his read on me is ~fine and he’s asking the right questions but i want to see where he goes with them

You’re basically discussing what you’re seeing with him and thinking of what he’d be thinking (The “He’d be happy randing wolf with this playerlist” thought) and using a past scum game to (somewhat) compare him to.
This is what I do when I’ve wolfed with someone and know their mindset, as I’ve discussed before in the last game.

my initial thought was that proph’s read on me was towny. after thinking about it for longer, i realized i was probably just happy about the result being correct, and that it seems eerily like the sort of reads i make early-game as a wolf. an example i remember is making a read like “atlas (or maybe eli?) would totally be shitting himself if he was a wolf against this list right now”.

the difference here is that i actually would be happy to rand wolf in this list, so i… can’t really fault it much further

meh, get the sense you’re digging into a vague theoretical rabbit hole as a way to appear productive when it’s the thinnest of early game interactions that could go either way, and trying to dispute the point with arctic feels distracting and inconsequential.

i think unaligned pairs are pretty useful to establish early on and especially look back on as we go deep into the game

saying x/y aren’t wolves together is helpful in the event either one of x or y flips wolf as you have a “clear” off the wolf flip

not interested in going deep in theory/playstyle difference discussion here but if you have an issue with how I’m playing, then feel free to advocate for my execution

disappointed? not sure. surprised? yeah, since i’m a villager, and i’m usually an obvious one, so i would be surprised if he does not townread me regardless of his alignment
