Because I spent a fortune (for my age) and get to see what people think of what I bought them.

I’ve read the Bible and The Book of Mormon which I assume where it comes from and I’ve never remembered anything about giving stuff on a specific day
I know Jewish people celebrate something similar but the question remains of

I’m recounting my knowledge of watching a 30 second TikTok like a week ago but I’m pretty sure there was a holiday before it that was similar to Christmas on the 31st December created by the Romans or Greeks or something created, and then people adopted the 25th of December as ‘Christmas’ to celebrate Christ’s birth likely because it was very close to the previous holiday on the 31st December
