Jormok quickly answered to each of the four players who questioned their starter, which thereby connotes a self-aware “holding themselves accountable” nature as well as an restless or perhaps jittery desire to partake in the game, which didn’t go amiss in the responses to their opener.
Summary
(#182) to Merpy.
(#185) to Tutuu.
(#1028) to Litten and Zenon.
This general back and forth at the beginning of the game but especially this post feels fashioned, making an avant-garde joke in order to look overtly casual since Merpy’s confusion doesn’t indicate it’s an inside joke. Jormok continued this joke for a while, revealing it to mean sparkling water and opening up a random chat with some people… which is usually fine, but yeah.
I think this is rand> villagery. I’ve heard the theory that wolves don’t always need to read the thread since they aren’t scumhunting but in practice I think most wolves prefer to at least skim the thread before posting to see a lay of the land.
Like this, actually. Reading the thread without a running commentary.
First live thought on the game. Wording on this post feels odd but it’s whatever. Not explained until later.
Jormok ostensibly prefers to real-time in the thread, which squares with their opening statements. This is a very passive post, a very “you should come talk to me first” vibe. I guess it might dock a few points against them depending on how new they are.
Jormok’s light shade on Lol here is consistent with later mentions of his name, but outside of calling Lol “nicer as scum”, there hasn’t really been a comparison to last game. Zorvo disagrees with this read from what I know, and yet Jormok hasn’t interacted with him directly a lot either from what I can tell, outside of casting a vote against him near EOD as a joke. I guess that’s fun.
Might be a leap, but if Jormok equates top posters with big players the previous point might be additionally noteworthy, or just an idea worth considering in regards with other players.
As I said yesterday, if Jormok really tired themselves out writing a perfunctory readlist on everyone alive yesterday (which makes sense for the real-timer they proved to be earlier), I think that’s good indicative. Especially given how their notes are in disarray, suggesting it was written out hastily because they really didn’t want to spend that much extra time working on it. But yeah, this notelist can be pretty sparse at times, and I could be giving it too much credit given how it only exists because Achro directed them to write it in the first place.
I don’t particularly dislike this readlist, even assuming it hasn’t been updated since yesterday. Jormok missed a follow-up question from me at the time around here, which might be intriguing if we feel like reading into Jormok’s quick answers to their opener.
Controversial statement: evils are less likely to make it publicly known they forgot their readlist. On the other hand, Drinks was at a 60-40% divide for Jormok, and Lol is their second last scumread. Jormok expressed the opinion that Lol was playing differently to last game, and sorta danced around this topic in a weird way when questioned by Arctic.
I think this last moment shift is unaligned with Litten. Jormok’s only making themselves look less decisive and planned out here irrespective of alignment.
Jormok did let themselves get pushed off Litten pretty easily. I wouldn’t think Jormok would be aligned with Drinks either, but I suppose they wouldn’t be one to specifically refuse Achro (even if he wasn’t their top townread). As seen before, they aren’t particularly firm in their reads. @Jormok why weren’t you happy voting Drinks? Weren’t they your third hypothetical kingmaker pick? Just feels a bit odd.
I suppose Jormok actually works partnered with Drinks here, in conjunction with the previous line.
In a mountainous game, I’m not sure why. This could be an attempt to clear themselves as a newer player here if Achro was a decided nightkill earlier on in the day, or if Jormok was still fishing for info on someone to nightkill here. Neither explanation is particularly compelling. Reading into v!motivation is whatever without knowing the person in question that well.
i’ve yet to see someone follow through with this kinda thing in my 100+ games so leafia hesitating to give any reads earlier in the day is something. i have no idea what it means thats up to the meta experts
why is this your primary focus going into d2 you’re wasting your own time proving this
why does this matter. putting somoene at town rather than null makes no difference unless ur a nerd
crazy ass revelation after someone said ‘‘town until i think otherwise’’
how does a new wolf push their wolf reads?
u guys have too much ego no one cares that much bro.
this is his towniest post so far i dont know what you’re doing
classic magnus bangers
i get killing drinks but what info are you gaining there
also someone explain why etha was a wagon and isnt wagoned today yet apart from zorvo finding some magical TMI and a bunch of scumleans or ‘‘i dont care if they die’’ tossed around
did they say anything wolfy or was it a random counterwagon just to have one
Etha was set aside today for the moment on some accounts. Yesterday I thought she was drifting through the game and that some of her posts (like her opener) semi-predicted this, except for a select number which possessed an unearned certainty (namely her Demisha townread and partnership reads). A few others bringing her name up so I cast a vote there at EOD as an alternative to the running wagons to see what happened.
this guy is so dogshit at dispersing a wagon he keeps saying leafia is town and knows hes most likely to die early but decides to kill leafia for info. actual maniac of a gamer
demisha’s tunnel is towny to me. moreso than arctics tunnel
this is lame as fuck, shame
found the litten town post
notable legacy. seems like he hates magnus and drinks the most
seems to me best vote is etha if we blindly follow achro which i am happy to do
still think merpy is wolfy but i dont think merpy is getting killed until like d5 and i will hopefully be long gone before that
screw you and you will regret these words when its day 6 and merpy revels as a wolf
demisha towny for d1 tunnel and extreme paranoia going into d2
the less it makes sense the townier it is
if i remember correctly from their wolf game that happened 5 years ago demisha is a calculated and calm when they are mafia. either that or they hide their nerves as much as possible
drinks seems like the best choice if we have no other ideas
idk about litten just seems like a super boring player no joy in life. litten is red to begin with not black. L
etha if we sheep achro and magnus
merpy is my personal scumread but if no one voted them d1 when its peak kill random newbie hour then i doubt its happening soon and seeing my argument get ignored completely i dont care to repeat it
kill etha drinks or atlas thats the things that make the most sense to me
litten i fully buy their ‘‘i wouldnt kill achro due to ego’’ explanaion UNLESS both their partners strongarmed them into making a more sensible kill. in that case would be a strong team like arctic+litten+zenon or something dont know how much sense it makes interaction wise
if litten has weaker teammates or someone who dont care (me/arctic/jormok/drinks ect) then 100% would kill a different guy
i know how these older players go what matters them the most is not winning the game is who can flex harder
