Bill shrugged. “Alright, you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”
He resumed eating his Snickers.

A girl wearing a squrrel costume was the last to arrive and she quickly scanned the room. What she saw reassured her a bit, as none of the people in the room looked like they were in law enforcement, but as you could never be too careful, she was still a bit on edge as she walked over to th we’d counter.
“Anyone know why we’re here?” Mira called out.
Finally the mousey person stands.
“Thus makes eight and all whom are expected to attend. I will now properly introduce myself.”
They take a deep bow
“You may refer to me as “Voice”, I am a conduit for the several interests in which have invested in this venture. While I am not a member of this organization; you will see me very often as I will be present around the motel. You may find me if you desire something for your room or need some other service done. Depending on what it is it’ll be done pro-bono or will cost you a penny, and we don’t take credit.”
They rise out of their bow.
“We shall now begin a tour of the facilities unless there are any questions you all have”
Bill raised a hand. “Is there a trash can somewhere? I have a wrapper I need to toss.”
‘Do they desire a physical answer of no, or is the silence enough?’ I begin to muse.
Voice takes a trash can from under the front desk and holds it for Bill
“Toss”
(roll a straight d20 for luck to see if it goes in @Squirrel2412 )

The wrapper bounces off the front of the lid and falls down ontop of the desk
Voice sighs and tosses it away for Bill
“Hopefully that doesn’t represent our partnership”
Lexi stands up, after taking a quick glance at the others in the room
“Yeah, question, this is the crew? You’re sure? I assumed like, half of these people just actually lived at motels like these,” Lexi gestures at Bill and Dennis, “You couldn’t convince me these people have committed a crime outside of not paying their overdue book fees from the public library.”
“And, for what it’s worth, I don’t care much for pleasantries and I don’t care much for facilities either, whatever that means. Can we just get to the job and the pay?”
“I dont know if i should take that as a compliment or not…”
"Oh, I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with this! Not the crime bit, but the motel bit… I mean, don’t any of you care about how you present yourselves?! It’s a bit sad, really… I can almost feel myself tearing up for you all. Can’t imagine what’s it like to be some street bum."
Kit sniffed and dragged a finger down his face, mimicking a teardrop falling from his eyes.
I stare at the man who lacks either eyesight or object permanence.
Voice sighs
“Spider said to put em on the crew ergo they’re on the crew. I know they see something in em, Courage I can get but the salesman? God above can’t figure it out. To be more precise there will be several jobs and certain members may care about what’s on offer in our little oasis.”
“Hey, if You’d like to learn what’s like to be a street bum I’d be more than happy to show you!” Lexi starts walking towards Kit, cracking her knuckles.
“Heel, you all are meant to work together and having you two slug it out is the anthesis of that goal. So calm your temper before I intervene on behalf of Spider”
Mira agreed with Lexi about the facilities part and hearing Voice’s speech did reassure her a bit.
“No questions here. What do you want stolen and how much are you willing to pay?” she asked the mousy person with a smirk on her face.
Lexi stops, but gives Kit a harsh glare.
“Everyone is so aggressive”
“Glad to hear someone here is ready to work.”
